1. No heat!! You know, that would have been ok because these things happen. But they didn't even tell us when we walked in. I had to ask the server to turn up the heat and she told me that their furnace had broke that morning. With two small kids in two, it would have been nice to know before unbundeling them so we could go somewhere else. Or maybe that was their master plan to make us not leave.
2. They sat us way in the back. After we complained, they just happen to mention there were portable room heaters at another table. Hmm.. why didn't you seat us there in the first place??
3. We ordered the tempura. But what we got were vegetables with onion ring batter. This was NOT tempura. If I wanted onion rings, I would have gone to TGI Fridays.
4. I ordered something that was described in the menu as Tofu with basil and garlic (without spice). What I got were some steamed vegetables with barely flavorful tofu. "No spice" doesn't mean "No Flavor". I never did taste any garlic.
5. Lastly, they offerered us some free tea to warm us up. This was nice, but it was just warm water. There was barely a hint of tea flavor. But it did keep my hands warm holding the cup I guess.
All in all, it was a horrible experience. I left hungry and cold. I left a tip at the end because I always do, but now I regret it.
Pros: None
Cons: Didn't tell us that they had no heat in 30deg winter

Thai restaurants have invaded the East Side over the past couple of years. Many of the newer restaurants are corporate run. They offer nicely styled restaurants but often the food is mediocre at best and service is lacking.
The Thai Kitchen in Kirkland is one of the first Thai restaurants on the East Side and remains family owned. The quality of the food is consistent and the wait staff is very dedicated to making your dining experience very enjoyable. When entering the restaurant you feel the genuine Thai hospitality at work here.
I eat lunch here most often. I really enjoy the lunch combination's. For about the same price as a premium hamburger at one of the fast food chains you can get a delicious and freshly made meal that is much better for you.
For dinner portions seem more generous then some other area restaurants and pricing is inline with other ethnic style restaurants. My family has never been disappointed or left feeling hungry. Its a great place to feed a family.
Pros: Wide menu selection, affordable lunch combination's
Cons: None

Went to this restaurant lured by great reviews on Citisearch. Don't know what went wrong, ether new management, or perhaps chef took a day off, but everything we ordered, soup, pad thai, shrimps, appetizers, everything was beyond bad, it was unpalatable. They even managed to screw up "home made" lemonade... I didn't even know that it's possible to make bad lemonade, before I tried their version. They did replaced the lemonade with tea on our request, and the tea was fine. The rest of the food we just left on our plates and went home hungry.
Pros: can make good tea
Cons: horrible food

Been getting food at Thai Kitchen in Kirkland for the last couple of years (usually to go). The food is great and the service is too. The Bangkok Chicken (3-4 stars) and Chicken Satay are my favorites. Great selection of curries. Solid Thai food on the Eastside.

Great lunch specials with a wide variety of choices. Many different meat and noodle pairings.
Friendly wait staff, decent prices (lunch specials range from about $7 - 12) and always consistant.

It is nice to be recognized and greeted with a smile and the food is great as well.
Mom's BBQ chicken is very good!
Ambiance is neutral, but the service and good make up for it!

The food and service in the restaurant is always great! The little egg rolls with plum sauce are super addictive and the Phad Thai with chicken and add fried tofu is the BEST .....We also really like the Swimming Rama, the portion here is twice the size of any other Thai place on the east side .......Thanks for being one of the very few great places to eat in Kirkland.
Pros: Great food
Cons: Call in togo orders or you will wait a bit
