My new husband and I stayed at the Four Seasons on Maui for three nights at the beginning of our honeymoon, earlier this month. We decided it was going to be our splurge and it was well worth it! From the minute we drove onto the property, we were impressed. The grounds were beyond lush, impressive given the hotel is in a desert area. From the valets to the front desk staff to the bellman who accompanied us to our suite (a free upgrade!!!) and briefed us on the hotel layout, everything was outstanding. The pool area is stunning. Just as you feel a bit hot from the scorching sun, a pool attendant comes around to spritz you with Evian, offer a cold towel or a glass of water. We tried all three restaurants in the hotel, as well, and received outstanding service and food. The only glitch during our stay was the daytime construction going on at the Italian restaurant, which provided a slight distraction as we sat by the pool.

This has to be the best resort I have ever stayed. My boyfriend and I were her for 5 nights. This is like taking 5 zanex. You can't get more relaxed and pamperd. This Hotel/Resort anticipates your next thought and move. The service is amazing, The food is yummmy. This place doesn't nickle and dime you for everything. You get so much. The best morning ritual was doing Yoga on the beach, then snorkling later on watching sea turtles and exotic fish. You won't wanna leave. I wan't to move in permanant.
Pros: They anticipate your next every thing
Cons: It does get expensive, but hey this is heaven

This resort probably is best known for its pools and water attractions. Because of that expect to see a lot of families here; and because of that expect the pool area to be crowded and noisey. The rooms are nice, but nothing to write home about. The maintenance of the hotel and the property is not as good as it should be.
Most guests say the same thing: don't plan to eat here. The food is not that good, and it is EXPENSIVE.

My husband and I stayed at the Grand Wailea Resort and Spa last year and it was wonderful. The grounds are huge and beautiful. This is one of the most beautiful resorts I have ever been to. The lobby is an open air structure, there are some typical pricey resort shops. The pool area is great with all kinds of water slides, waterfalls and hidden coves. We spent a lot of time in the pool area. Humuhumunukunukuapua'a restaurant was absolutely delicious and allot of fun. You can pick your lobster, fish right from the pond for them to cook. The best part for me about this fantastic resort is the spa! It is truly amazing. Beautiful doesn't even describe it. You start with a jacuzzi or steam, then move on to the mineral baths/ cascading shower massage/ Japanese jacuzzi and then whisked off to a most wonderful massage or facial or what ever your hearts desire. I have been to quite a few spas and I rate this as the best. When my husband goes golfing I go to the Grand Wailea Spa!

Diamond Hawaii Resort, located in the Wailea area of Kihei, is an all suite property with a Japanese motif.
The goal is to give you a tranquil, peaceful experience; and they do a great job at this. The units have killer views, especially of sunset. They also have a traditional Japanese spa. Their two restaurants, specializing in Japanese cuisine, also have five star reputations.

More
We've stayed at the Maui Prince Hotel twice and couldn't be more happy with it! It is the BEST value in the exclusive Wailea area of Maui. It's a little further down the road, but well worth the extra 2 minute drive. The hotel isn't as fancy as some of its Wailea counterparts (think Grand Wailea or Kea Lani), but it has true Hawaiian flair. It's not as crowded as other hotels and the staff will remember you. The pool is small, but you can get a seat without trouble. The grounds are beautiful and great for walks. The beach at the hotel is quiet and private. The rooms are spacious, all have ocean views and private lanais (so your neighbors can't see you and vice versa). Overall, I highly recommend the Maui Prince. I seriously considered other hotels on our second trip to Maui because I wanted something "different." I'm SO glad I decided to stay at the Maui Prince again. If you're looking for celebrity watching and a fun nightlife, this probably isn't the place for you. If you want a relaxing Hawaiian vacation, stay HERE!

We stayed at Maui Coast for a weekend trip for business. The service was great, check in was not until the afternoon, but the room was available and we were able to check in before 10am. The room was just okay, nothing special. The AWESOME thing about this hotel is the pool at night. There is nothing like floating in a warm pool at dark, watching the stars, listening to a live band and drinking a glass of wine. They have a bar right at the pool, it is a small cozy atmosphere. The only downside is that the pool and bar close early, by 10pm on weekdays and I think 11pm on weekends. But seriously, I would go back just to have a couple more hours in this pool. It was so relaxing!!!
Oh one other plus is free internet use in the hotel lobby!

We enjoyed our stay here and the price was right thanks to priceline, com. Can't beat $110 a night on Maui. It's a mile from the beach though and needs more amenities.

This conveniently located property in Kihei is oceanfront but not beachfront. But nice beaches for swimming, snorkeling and strolling truly are just minutes away from this nicely landscaped property. These nicely furnished two and three bedroom units go for $175 to $225 a night, depending on the season, and include maid service.

This is a good choice for visitors, friends, and family members. It's not the Four Seasons or the Ritz Carlton, and it's not the Maui Beach or Pioneer Inn. It's a solid mid-level property that is safe, clean, and comfortable. It's also known for staff that shows the Aloha spirit and will help you.
