I disagree vehemently with the reviewer who gave this place one star. I have frequently visited the Village Diner and it's a top-notch place. It is the quintessential Greek Diner and that is a very good thing.
The two brothers that own the place are both charming and extremely friendly. The service is prompt, courteous, and professional and the place is always very clean.
The food is exceptional. Always very tasty and cooked to perfection. The portions are big and the prices are cheap. The Village Diner is everything a Greek Diner should be and more. This is an excellent diner and I highly recommend it. One of the best, especially for the price.

The food is terrific Turkey Burgers are especially good along with all their Greek specialties (as the owner is Greek) The wait staff mostly from Poland are very sweet and I've seen them take alot of abuse from people who have miserable lives and are looking to vent at someone The owner walks around to chat with customers and make sure everything is as it should be and even the guy that clears plates and brings drinks always remembers what I drink
And don't you think it's funny that the person that reviewed the Diner previously had to visit three times and knew about their holliday offerings before she decided to give it one star! I think I know who she is and she's like that everywhere! What a pain to listen to her at the next table while you and your family are trying to eat in peace!

Ok some people say, a Diner is a Diner is a Diner. I don't agree and this place proves it. I have been there for breakfast 4 times through out the past year. Every time it got worse. The service was awful; they made you feel like you were imposing on them for ordering food and it took forever! The food was just blah, nothing really tasted like it was supposed to. The egg's were cold on one occasion and my husbands waffle wasn't up to par. I don't know how you get breakfast wrong but they just do. Now maybe I am spoiled when it comes to diners and i've just had bad experiences because this place is always crowded on a Saturday with locals but i have given up on it. As for lunch and dinner they seem to have the "typical diner food". On Holidays they always do a special all inclusive meal that caterers to the holiday ie- St. Patty's Day.
