The hotel is a first class lodging option for Kent, WA. Interior corridors, wi-fi, breakfast, and local airport shuttle service. located on the Golf course, it is a great alternative to major arterials and the noisy airport.

I recently had an interesting experience working with an older client. She was selling her home so she could move out of the country and needed help in sorting out all of the issues she'd need to organize before being able to go. Acting as her real estate agent we put together a plan for how to sell her home - we'd need to target developers since she had a single family home sitting in multi-family zoning. We were able to help her get an additional $200,000 out of her home by not selling it as a single family home.
When we secured the contract we began helping our client with the search for a moving company that could handle international relocation. Enter Ace Relocation as the company that ended up being chosen out of a couple that she interviewed. Mark Johnson, the local account rep, was thorough and professional in his work and he helped my client with navigating a very difficult process. Thankfully my client had done some good initial homework but Mark was able to deftly handle the many issues that plagued the scheduling - including the short delay in closing the sale because of a buyer issue. The delay ended up being mostly good for my client since she didn't quite have all of her items out of the home but that's part of another story.
I would highly recommend Mark Johnson at Ace Relocation for anyone else considering a big move like this one or for anything local.

We have used Sprint Moving and Storage three times in the last 10 years for moves around town. You box up all your goods and they supply the truck and two men. They have all equipment, furniture pads, tie downs that you need. All you need to do is box up everything but the furniture. When you call you will do a detailed inventory which they can use to estimate the time of the job. You might want to double check what you have before you call so that you can get the closest estimate possible. These guys are incredibly nice and professional and we never had a problem with any of our moves.
The pricing is very reasonable since you do all the packing yourself. Yes, you could just rent a UHaul - but this saves your back!

I've heard this particular hotel was great from some of my sources, so my friends and I drove half hour away from where we were visiting just to have the same experience. We were all coming from Oregon. Feeling exhausted and ready to settle into our rooms, we were greeted by the front desk. Then man takes a second look at me and questioned my age. I didn't think anything of it so I told him I'm 19. He asked me if I'll be accompanied by someone over the age of 21. I told him no...we're all 19-20 and there's 4 of us and we have a reservation. He told me that for this hotel, you cannot purchase rooms if you're a minor. No where on their website states that information. No hotel has ever told me that before...I was becoming angry. He then continued with questions. He asked if I had any family or friends around WA. He said he doesn't want me throwing a party and being loud. He accused us as being loud, party kids. He wanted me to promise him we'll be quiet and not take over the pool. He told me since we're from Portland, he'll let us stay. I walked out feeling outraged and we drove off. I called and canceled my reservation. I will never go back to this hotel, ever. We went elsewhere to the Comfort Inn at Federal Way. I've stayed there a few times and the staff and my stay has always been the same...extremely pleasent and nice. Comfort Inn in Kent, WA has poor customer service.
Pros: Clean.
Cons: Rude Staff.

I remember that I used to love flying Alaska. I signed up for their rewards and was about to get their credit card so that I could earn tickets even faster. However, I stopped using the company about a year ago ans switched over to Southwest when they started using non-unionized workers. You may remember there were a rash of air incidents when planes had to reland shortly after taking off. In one case, it was due to a non-union poorly trained worker who ran a vehicle into the plane, and didn't tell anyone about it.
Anyhow, I was in a jam a couple of weeks ago, and ended up booking a ticket on Alaska. While I like that I got to prepick my seats, I did not the service I saw. From the airline attendant who sarcastically remarked about how old people take forever to sit down, to the long wait for beverages, to the obvious preferential treatment of first class passengers, the service that I received on Southwest if far superior. On Alaska, the front bathroom is reserved for first class only, while the rest of the plane need to trek all the way to the back to the two rear ones, as opposed to Southwest allowing people to use the restrooms on both ends. Also, there was only one beverage cart on Alaska, which of course, started in First Class. On Southwest, service runs from both the front AND the back.
For those of you on a budget, I would suggest flying Southwest. Tickets are cheaper, and you'll get treated much better.

So......we decided to take the cheapest quote and go with a "local" outfit that sounded friendly, family-owned etc. They came in cheaper than everyone else, until we got the bill which came in at $100 over the other bids from well-known companies. They showed up a day late and called at 8:30 pm to let us know they wouldn't be making it (after we had called them several times). No apologies either from the owner. Everything arrived as it was packed, but the experience was....well, you get the idea.
