Sound glass was able to make customer glass to fit doors on a china cabinet that my son made in woodshop! You know those doors weren't perfectly angled but Sound Glass made it work and it was very inexpensive! They also provided the tabs that should have been part of the door - to keep the glass in place. Nice people.

It's the kind of service I didn't realize existed anymore -- then I found out I could actually have a milkman deliver fresh milk, cheese, yogurt and other dairy products to my house. Oh, and they also deliver eggs and laundry detergent. Now that I have twin toddlers, shopping is a challenge, so the more convenience the better. Prices are cheaper than the stores, and the milk is unadulterated, free of hormones and other junk so common these days. What's not to like?

Due to a wasp nest inside our home's siding, we called AAA Pest Control. They arrived on time, were very polite, and very thorough. They were also very reasonably priced, under $200 (especially compared to the $500 quote we got from Orkin.)
If the wasps ever invade again, I will definitely call AAA again.

In Kent, there is a little shopping mall, called the Great Wall Mall. It has one larger restaurant, and a couple of smaller "noodle house" types of restaurants inside. There are also a few Asian clothing stores, hair salons, book stores, etc, and the main anchor store is the 99 Ranch market, which so far as I've seen is an Asian superstore. Great place to visit if like to browse some unusual things. Busy on weekends, so go later in the afternoon or on a weekday.

We did wedding invitations, programs, etc. through a little place in East Bellevue called Merchant's. (Or maybe that is Redmond - right on the border)
It is a small shop in a strip mall - not somewhere I would have walked into without a recommendation. It is directly adjacent to the Macy's furniture shop in Bellevue (close to Microsoft / Trader Joes/ Uwajamaia)
Merchants was great. They were affordable, the service was fantastic, and they had a whole variety of papers and designs. We used handmade papers from India and Thailand and it was still quite affordable.
We worked with a great young woman named Siobhan. I don't know whether she is still there, but I really liked everybody.

I called and they came out the same day. Very reasonable service call fee! Very friendly. Very up front about the problems and how much it would cost to fix vs. buying a new one. He even gave me a tip on where to get a new appliance at a great price. I wouldn't hesitate to call again if I needed another repair done.
