Tadpoles

I visited your store today at around 2 pm with a bag full of nice, clean and laundered, name brand clothes. I was insulted as soon as I walked in the door because they were in a large bag. I was told, 'These should be in a bin, not in a bag!!'- First sentence out of his mouth! I asked the salesman 'How are they normally brought in, I didn't see on your flyer that the clothes needed to be hung on hangers??'' He sneered and said, 'No, but not like this, nothing good ever comes out of a bag!' With that comment, I took my bag off of the counter and let him know this type of behavior was incredibly rude. I also asked for his name and asked to speak with a manager, which he refused to tell me, and made no move at all to call for a manager. In fact he laughed and I realized he nor this store was worth my time. His insulting, sneering attitude lost this store my business and I will be sure to share this with everyone I know. I usually visit monthly and spend hundreds of dollars on clothes for several kids, but I will not set foot in this store again. You guys need to understand this type of business would not work without customers like me bringing in clothes and then using my credit to buy more clothes from you. Its a consignment store after all, isn't it?? I can guarantee if you allow rude men like this to to work in this store you will continue to lose your customers. more

I first went into Tadpoles, not realizing it was a resale shop. I found lots of things I liked, and when I tried to find other sizes of the same thing and couldn't, I realized that it was a resale shop! That says alot about the layout of the store and quality of the clothes. Everything I looked at was in fabulous, Like new condition and they were all brand names I recognized! more

This store is so incredibly well organized. They have such a large selection of everything. Nice, clean store and merchandise. Very helpful salespeople. Tadpoles is choosy about which consignment items it picks to sell, and their discerning taste benefits parents and kids who want high quality at a low price. We've had great success in this store. There are plenty of used brand named clothes/accessories for boys and girls. As with most consignment stores, boys play/school clothes are harder to come by (mostly because boys are harder on their clothes). I've had an easier time getting boys dress clothes at Tadpoles... The girls clothes, however, are a different story: I've found Limited Too, Ralph Lauren and even Lilly Pulitzer. The fall and winter sales are events that should not be missed. Get there early and bring a box to carry your finds. more

I was a frequent customer of Tadpole's up until about a year ago. They've gone from a friendly store to one that's snotty and rude at every turn. I was beginning to think I was being oversensitive until several friends mentioned the same problems. Although they have a ncie selection of clothes, they are way overpriced. The whole idea of a consignment store is to pay LESS for an item than you would if it were brand new. I have literally seen USED clothing in their store selling for more than what it cost brand new. RIdiculous. I will never give Tadpole's my business again. more
