I took some friends from out of town to the restaurant early on a Saturday evening. One of my friends had the restaurant recommended to them. After reading a review that wasn't so favorable but said they had good onion rings and good beans. The review had also said the barbeque wasn't so good.
For our experience, the experience was very bad. Yes, the onion rings are among the best I've tasted. If that was all I was going to eat, I'd be giving it 5 stars. I'm not so hot on beans, but if I were, then I'd be happy also. The barbeque was terrible and each of us ordered something different. Each of us had fatty, grisly meat or in my case, just plain burnt. There was nothing savory about the meat. Good thing they give big portions of Onion rings for the appetizers!

I just found that they carry some of the food at the local grocery store also. It is great to just go out to the store and buy precooked and frozen the food I enjoy at the restaurant. I had a party and no one even noticed that it was frozen. They thought I had gone down and ordered it fresh. Now the atmosphere and feel of the restuarant is something you need to go experience. Great service and food. The price for the quality of food is not bad at all either. My favorite is their sliced brisket and cheesy corn...yumm they also have this in the stores.

Fiorella's is truly the best bbq in the area. The location is a little difficult to locate, right behind Union Station. It's a very cool building with great atmosphere and the patio is a nice to place to have a drink while you wait. They even host private parties on the patio and those always look great. My favorite is to order the dinner for two. My husband and I love the beef and turkey. The sauce is wonderful and they truly have the best baked beans and cheesy corn of any bbq restaurant I've ever experienced. The roasted chicken is also very good. The service is always tops and it's always a very relaxing evening. Enjoy!

Jack Fiorella must have been clairvoyant to locate this restaurant right in the heart of what would become one of Kansas City's most happening areas, or maybe he knew that by locating in the Crossroads, the neighborhood would just grow around it.
The staff is very professional, and they definitely know their trade. The baked beans, the fries, the slaw, and the cheesy corn bread all make wonderful sides and trimmings to accent some of the best slow-cooked barbecued meats in human civilization.
You haven't lived until you've had the lamb ribs at Fiorella's. Moist, tender, juicy, every bite is a celebration of flavor, and like I said, even the burps taste good!

The best ribs of my life, OF MY LIFE, hands down. I cannot, cannot get enough of this place whenever I'm in KC, which, granted, isn't very often. Barbecue is said to be Kansas City's specialty, but still, Fiorella's is still the obligatory upscale barbecue place. Two words, fair barbecue-seekers: lamb ribs.

Fiorella's is THE BBQ heaven of Kansas City, MO. Being a less-than-fanatical meat eater, I give three thumbs-up to this amazing restaurant. The atmosphere is rustic-hunting lodge; it's upscale but still casual. The burnt ends and fries are out of this world, and just thinking about the baked beans makes my mouth water. They have an excellent and spacious bar, and their beer list is impressive. Bring your family or bring your date-- I guarantee you'll clean your plate!

Not only is the barbecue at Fiorella's out of this world, but the atmosphere and service is superb. The wait is often long, but usually shorter than what the host tells you. They have an excellent tap and bottled beer selection, along with numerous barbecue-complementing wines. This is not your average KC styrofoam box BBQ. Fiorella's is an upscale dining experience, but the food lives up to the best of what KC has to offer.
