If you are down in the Plaza are, Tomfooleries can be a great place to grab a bite to eat. The restaurant itself is kind of small. This is definitely not the place to take a large group, there are only about two tables that can handle more than four people. They do have happy hour specials with discounts on drinks and appetizers. They also do a reverse happy hour later in the evening. The menu has a good selection and the Peanut Butter chicken salad is my favorite. Ordering off the happy hour menu is a great choice for kids. The burger on there is just a perfect size for them. The margarita's are pretty tasty at this place. Beware that is you go on the weekend, there will likely be a wait and it can seem a little tight when there are tons of people in there. It's a good place to stop in when you already have a reason to be on the Plaza, just don't make a special trip.

Sitting at 47th and Jefferson, Tomfooleries is in the heart of the Plaza, or at least, is in easy walking distance to everything else in the Plaza. Their tap selection is above average, and their bartenders are always happy to help. I've never had to wait for service here. If you have other business on the Plaza, Tomfooleries is a highly recommended place to stop for a quick drink. The elevated bar area can get pretty crowded, pretty easily, though.

A great size bar/restaurant but can seem hollow. The tables are a long way apart and so the atmosphere is lacking. Great menu though and the kids food is good and gets served in a red flyer wagon.
Service is not always the best but not really bad enough to complain about. The sandwiches are huge and can feed too and the dressings are their own and add to the whole Toms feel about the food.

Tomfooleries has always been one of my favorite lunch spots (Plaza) and I was excited when they opened their second restaurant in Zona Rosa. However, this location doesn't have the charm of the Plaza location. The acoustics and architecture make it very noisy. It has a "cold" feeling. It's a great place for happy hour or the late night bar crowd, but not a pleasant place for lunch. I'd rather drive to the Plaza location.
