This art museum is wonderful. The outside landscape just makes you want to turn off the road and jump right into the building. For the average person who might not appreciate art like others, the museum is very easy to navigate through and offers many different styles from many different cultures. The inside "plaza" area is a great place to sit and have lunch after browsing though the collections. My favorite part of the museum is the "modern" art section. The big corn on the cob work still sticks in my head. A very great outing for yourself or family.

This zoo has a lot of animals from many countries. With an aquatic section and a safari section that allows animals to roam free in a certain area, the zoo covers a great amount of area. There is a seal show where a trainer demonstrates some of the abilities of large seals. In the winter months the light show and beautiful decorations make up for the fewer animals. It’s a great place to just walk around without the city noises bothering you.

Amazing and magnificent collection of artifacts wonderfully displayed in a way that lets the viewer imagine what they will about the people and conditions of a bygone era. This museum is not like any other and one that will not easily be forgotten by those who go to see it. It is well worth visiting there!

I really enjoyed my recent tour of the Negro League Baseball Museum. It was very interesting, and enjoyed so much I went later in the summer. It was cheap (except for the store), fun, and it can be long if you read all the plaques. My favorite part was the mini baseball field with all the great players.
5 Stars.

I once had to take my dog to gladstone animal clinic when I adopted him, because that is where the animal shelter took him to get fix and check out for fleas and other puppy ailments. They seemed to be busy all of the time, with a waiting room full of other animals, but the vet was very nice, explained things that needed to be taken care of, and when to bring him back to get his stitches taken out. They even gave him a treat, and now he doesn't hate going to the vet that much!

Photographx Unlimited is a gem in the Northland. Today photo developing and services seem to be dominated by the "one-hours" but Photographx is different. They offer a wide variety of services and their staff is knowledgeable about photography. I have trusted them with some of my most important photos and have never been disappointed!

Great way to spend a Sunday in the winter for very little money. We tried on a Friday night and I think this is where a lot of middle school kids hang out. The atmosphere is very family oriented on Sundays and would highly recommend it for a good time with your family.

This was found buried underneath a Kansas Farmers land several years ago. It is interesting to see how much of the items were preserved and still intact. You can see everything from food to the mule that was on board. They offer group tours and specials so check those out. You can watch them through glass as they uncover more items or smell some of the perfume that was found on the boat. The gift shop offers many memento's from the museum even some of the perfume ( of course its a remake) A great trip that will last the whole day and you will learn something too.

I used to love to go to Gladstone Bowl when I lived in the area. They had great prices, pretty decent food for a bowling alley, and generally was never that crowded. They also had galatic bowling a few nights out of the month. Galatic bowling is pretty much like glow in the dark, or black lighted bowling. But that usually cost a little more than regular bowling. Great for kids birthday parties!
