They always give outstanding customer service and excellent work (completed correctly the first time). There staff is extremely knowledgable and courtious. They explain in detail what problems they find of my concerns and talk you through the pros and cons of doing the work or not.

I love going into Williams Sonoma located on the Country Club Plaza. Everything is arranged very well and they have a huge variety of items. You can purchase any cooking utensil you can imagine, cookware, place settings, glassware and much more. At the holidays they often have specialty drink mixes or food mixes that you can try samples before you buy them. I have one gift I love to give from this store. You can do margarita glasses with their margarita mix and salt and include a lime. They'll wrap it up for you and it's a really cute gift under thirty dollars. The prices on a lot of their things tend to be high, but most stuff is top of the line quality. You can also watch for sales and purchase some really good stuff for less money. It's a shop I always hit on the plaza, I just don't always buy.

As a new homeowner of an old house, I've spent a lot of time in hardware stores. I've gotten tired of not finding what I need in the big box stores (sometimes b/c there's too much stuff too look through) or struggling to find someone who has a clue of what I'm looking for.
The folks at Westlake are friendly, and knowledgeable. I've had a retired plumber help me out with questions about fixing my toilet and a woman that spent 10 minutes to help me find just the right 7 cent screw I needed for a hardware problem. That was even more amazing since I had just come from a big box where the employee seemed to get tired of helping me look, after one minute, and just turned around and left.
Even if Westlake doesn't have what I need (for example, a drill battery I was looking for yesterday), they will tell me where I can find it--even if it is at a competitive local store.
Not that I haven't found some helpful people at a few big box stores, there are some good people at the Midtown Home Depot. The staff just isn't consistent. But every time I go to the Westlake hardware store, I leave feeling satisfied. They respect me even if I sometimes have no idea what I'm looking for.
Give the place a chance if you haven't already.
Pros: Easier fo find items, helpful and knowledgeable staff
Cons: Not as much variety as the big box

Truog Construction is an excellent company and would highly recommend them. Mr. Truog was very professional and handled everything. He is an excellent problem solver and communicated often about the project. He was very easy to work with and dealing with all of the aspects and issues associated with doing a remodel in a high rise condominum building. He was excellent at dealing with the building staff and was very considerate fo the other residents and the condo rules. This company did an exceptional job and I am very satisfied and pleased with the outcome. I will hire this company for future remodeling needs.

True Value Hardware is one of my favorites because they have such a large selection. They have some excellent bargains but most of all the staff are exceptionally helpful. I was very impressed with the staff here because they will help you with whatever your needs are and if they can't they will find someone that can. I've gone in here several times to get things and walked out with nothing because they told me something i could use around the house to fix it.
