One of my friends planned a birthday outing for me at All Fired Up. This is a store that allows you to pick a piece of pottery and then decorate and design it yourself. We took a group of about fifteen women and everyone had a great time. It was hard for everyone to decide what piece of pottery they wanted to use. This shop has pieces for all of your needs and there is something for every price range. They supply everything you'll need to decorate your pottery and it was fun to see what ideas each of the ladies came up with. I made a pitcher that truthfully isn't the prettiest, but some people made trivets and plates that were gorgeous. Vases, coasters, bowls, platters, napkin rings, spoon rests, etc are just a few examples of things you could choose. The staff is very pleasant and helpful, wanting to make sure that you have what you need and are happy with your product. They will glaze your product after you are finished and you'll come back at a later time to pick it up. A fun time was had by everyone who attended and it was a neat idea.

My favorite place for a movie.
Plenty of parking.
Outside ticket booths and automated machines (but they are slow). A tip is that you can buy your tickets inside where they collect you ticket and this is much quicker than waiting in line.
Expensive consessions but all movie theaters are these days. Booster seats available for children so they can see. Very clean theaters and lots of restrooms.

Kansas City is all about Jazz. So many famous Jazz players originate from Kansas City why not have an American Jazz Museum here. This is a really interesting place to check out. You will learn the history behind Jazz around the world and in the KC area and they also tell you about some of the greats that got Jazz started. After your trip through the museum stop by one of the Jazz Nightclubs and get an actual feel for what it was like back in the day.

This is a fun experience to take the whole family. The admission is a little pricey, but worth it if you like rodeos. Before the rodeo starts you can walk around and look at all of the livestock. There are horses, cattle, pigs etc. The rodeo is fun and entertaining for the whole family. It is a pretty traditional rodeo with bull riding and cattle roping. They also have some fun clown routines for the kids. This is a fun family outing!

This is an ok barber shop in Kansas City, I just do not like the part of town it is in. My dad goes there when he is up there around that part of town working. The part of town is kind of dangerous thought because there are a lot of shootings and other violence. It is kind of a poorer area of Kansas City so it can be a little trashy.

This is a very classy, enjoyable restaurant housed in the Kemper Museum, a contemporary art museum with a world class collection. The atmosphere is lovely; the food is wonderful. Even better, you are surrounded by some of the world's best art. Plan a trip to this museum, view the art, and stay for lunch or dinner. You will not be disappointed.

I went with my husband and another married couple about 2 years ago, on Halloween night, yes the line was long. But they had music and food there if you were waiting. I took my pregnant friend in there. It's safe. They are not allowed to touch you, so if you got hurt, it's your own fault. Follow the signs and pay attention. Not costly, and there are police officers everywhere to make sure the public keeps things peacefull.
PROS: Love it!

This store recently moved to another location but they had a very poor selection. I only would go on occasion if my Church ordered something specific or if they had tickets to a concert. I would not even bother with the music or books because I was usually sorely disappointed. They people are friendly at times ,but a little unprofessional mostly.

The City Market is a great place all of the time. However, on Saturday mornings, I really enjoy going down there to shop. There are rows and rows of booths all selling different things. You can browse a wide selection of veggies and fruits and the quality is always very fresh. Of course some booths have a better quality product than others. I love to get blackberries and rasberries down there. There are some stores that sell ethnic products also. In the spring the flowers are beautiful and there are often sellers with potted flowers all ready to go. Those pots full of color are actually a very good Mother's Day gift and quite affordable. There is one booth that sells fresh cut flowers and they have gorgeous boquets that are perfect to take for a hostess gift or to put in a vase for company over the weekend. There is often some booths that offer jewelry and usually someone selling grilled turkey legs. The atmosphere is very fresh and natural and it's just a very relaxing way to shop.
