Good: I usually love my hair every time i come out of their salon. I am asian and i like their cuts. I have tried other places and they don't satisfy me as much as tb's does.. Bad: They are really fake. they let their "regulars" go first even if you've been waiting on APPOINTMENT for an hour. I suggest bring something to do. One time i was so upset i left, while tb watched me leave from outside his door. He doesn't care about his once in a while customers.. Improvements: i'd like to see him treat all of his customers with respect and dealt with in a timely manner. whats the point of making an appointment if it doesn't even matter?. Other: I would definitely go to another salon if they were much more polite and gave me the same quality haircut. TB is RUDE AND FAKE..

i went to get my hair colored at tb's and i thought that the owners was going to do my hair but instead someone else at the shop placed the color in my hair and who knows where that person recieved their liscence because i left with my roots orange and my ends dark.and i was very upset that they had someone else color my hair.

I have been going to TB's off and on for about 5 or 6 years. They have good days and bad atmosphere-wise, but I ALWAYS get a good cut and it's affordable. I don't mind the chaos of the family and neighborhood atmosphere, in fact, that's one of the reasons I go - it's not just any old cold trendy salon, it has personality. Just remember though, if you don't get the first appointment of the day, they sometimes get behind and you'll have to wait - bring a book. Worth it for many of TB's fun stories and life advice too. :-)

As I was saying I was charged $120 and he asked me to come back to tone it down and he said he was going to charge me 40 more $. OK this not a first time I had my hair done last time I was having a siliar service not at a different location, even thought it took longer than we thouhgt she stayed late and finished. To make the matter worst TB's Niece who was helping him was texting her frineds the whole time, washing and blow drying my hair. Don't ever go there

I showed him what I wanted he did say it may not be what I want but it will still look pretty. To make the story short. He ran out of time as he claimed because he wouldn't tunr any walking away. You would never believe that in this place there's a vietnamese guy who can cut hair. I think all those up-do(been to many of them) salons could learn from this older man who cuts hair like he's been born with a scissor in his hand. Hands down the best place for hair design. And yep, i am young and i like hot, trendy hairstyles. He's the man to go to. TB! Don't be afraid of the looks of the salon. It's worth your every penny! Also on the corner there's a great vietnamese restaurant/cafe.

I went to TB's on a whim after seeing Thuy's review. It's a nice little place hidden over in small Vietnamese section of Columbus Park, which is a great neighborhood in KC. The prices were very reasonable, and the stylist was very good at following my verbal description of what I wanted. I even got my beard trimmed!

TB's Hair Salon is one of the best hair salon in Kansas City. The stylist are friendly and very knowledgeable. They are good at keeping up to date with the latest hair styles. At the best part is that you can get a great hair cut at a friendly place at a great deal. Other salons would charge at least double the price for the style and service that you get here. I don't trust anyone else with my hair but them!
