George Brett's is a just a great place to hang out and enjoy a meal. The atmosphere is upscale, but sports oriented. The menu is extensive and there is everything from sandwiches to grilled fish. Happy Hour is a great time to visit this place as they have drink specials and half price appetizers. The tables by the windows are the best so you can watch the people go by on th street of the plaza. I enjoy the chicken wrap and their side salad is very generous. The grilled chickent sandwich wasn't the greatest, but the turkey club is wonderful. My husband had the grilled mahi mahi one night as a special and raved about it. I recommend hitting this place on a weekday afternoon for a late lunch. It's great to hang out while it isn't crowded and the servers are all very knowledgable and fun.

While located in a very busy part of town, the best part of this place is that it is named after a real-life legend who can be seen eating there most days. While it may not be proper to stare while eating, you will find yourself staring at a Hall of Fame player like George as he sits next to you and you might need the diversion since the wait staff can be a little slow and the food just fair. Having said that, it is an easy place to get in and out of and it is one of those places that is reliable with food that is not overly expensive.
