Very good food. I had a combo plate with a chicken hindquarter and pulled pork. The chicken was great, but the pork was absolutely awesome! Very tender and flavorful. I probably prefer the sauce from Gates BBQ, but Bryant's sauce was more than adequate. You order and pick up your food at the counter. I heard the line at the counter could be long, so I went in just after 11:00a.m. and the wait wasn't bad at all. I'd recommend going during the day because the place isn't in the nicest neighborhood in the world. I highly recommend this place!

Kansas City BBQ is a must and Arthur Bryants makes BBQ with the best sauce ever! And the fries are perfect for sopping up the last drips. One of the most famous BBQ restaurants in Kansas City. Parking is street and easy to find. Don't be put off by the area the restaurant is in, the food makes your worries disappear. Very good prices and if you are in town be sure to visit as you'll be talking about it to friends for years to come.

If you are unsure about what KC barbecue is suppose to taste like, than you need to go to Arthur Bryant's. If this is your first time going to an Arthur Bryant's, you must go to the one in downtown KCMO. They have a location in KCK which is good and tastes the same, but not the same atmosphere as the original. This place has the best BBQ in the country (IMHO). One of the must-haves is the burnt-end sandwiches. The sauce is the best in the city. Make sure that your not in a hurry and you can savor the smoked meats. Also if your in a hurry you will undoubtedly get your clothes all messy due to the sauce.

No matter where you are in the KC area, it's worth the drive to downtown to eat at Arthur Bryant's. The meats are cooked to perfection in an old, well used smoker. The sauce is the perfect amount of spice and taste. You get tons of food for the money. This is the BBQ of presidents for a very good reason!

Arthur Bryant's is the best place for good meat that isn't masked by BBQ sauce. I had a pork sandwich that was exploding with sliced, tender meat. The fries are also fresh cut. Service is fast and plenty of places to sit. It’s easy to find with an online map and consider that a huge (rare) bonus in Kansas City, MO.

Anyone who doesn't give this place 5 stars simply doesn't appreciate classic Kansas City BBQ. I'm a KC transplant, and this is the first place we go whenever guests are in town. The atmosphere is half the experience with ex-presidents and movie star photos on the wall - a sampling of the thousands who have enjoyed this place. A BBQ beef sandwich and a cold beer will brighten any day. An A+ all the way! P.S. My wife and I even had our first date there!
