Just writing this review, I can taste my favorite: macademia coconut shortbread. I have to hide them in the house, because even though my husband's favorite is their almond cookie, he'll eat all of mine if given the chance. These cookies melt in youth mouth. You buy a bag to take home, and by the time you are home they are all gone! Best price usually is at WalMart, but you can find these at Long's Drugs, and most food stores. Bet you can't eat one.

Tasaka Guri Guri is a Maui phenomenon. I’ve never heard a single local person tell me they didn’t love it, and if they did, I blocked it out.
Please don’t compare Guri Guri to ice cream because it’s just not the same product. The unfair comparison has no reflection on the quality of Tasaka Guri Guri. Like the taste of an apple has no reflection on the quality of an orange.
If you want to compare Tasaka Guri Guri to another Guir Guir that’s fine. If you've never had it, try it.

Love these chips! They are the thick, old fashioned kind, with lots of salty taste to them. You can see the pieces of potato skins sometimes, and that's fine with me. When you want something salty and something crunchy this, without question, fits the bill. You can call the factory and arrange to pick up a case to take with you when you fly to a neighbor island or home to the mainland.

You just finish shopping at the market, or at Costco, and you can't help but look to see if the red light next to the driveway is lit. When it is, you can stop in and get in line and they will give you one of their regular glazed donuts to sample. It's enough to tempt you into buying a dozen to take home.

Ba-le Sandwiches & Bakery is a "Maui Must", delicious Vietnamese food, friendly staff, quick service, and very affordable prices. I highly recommend trying this place if you haven't tried it already, you will not be disappointed, and will walk away agreeing with my review :)

Baskin Robbins is a great place to stop after you have done your shopping at Longs' Drugs or Star Market. It's convenient, and you can't beat their burgandy cherry ice cream. They just opened another location near Condolidated Theaters so you can grab a cone or sundae after you see a movie.

Located opposite the office for Time Warner Oceanic Cable, Brigit and Bernard's has recovered and is up and going again. Their catering could hit the spot for the special event you are thinking of, especially if you enjoy german foods like wienerschnitzel. They also offer great salads, and they have a crab patty sandwich that is to die for and would be great at picnic lunch events.

It's best described as being like a doughnut, but there is no hole in it. They are light, and tasty, and fried. The next thing is the fillings. You can be basic and try chocolate or vanilla, or you can go local and try haupia (coconut like) or lilikoi or whatever local flavor is being offered when you go in. Not all flavors are available on all days.

Best Thai food in Maui without a doubt. From the price to the food. I will say they can be a little rushed or distracted at times. But its a real family business, complete with family troubles some times. After discovering it and as a native NewYorker. the Tofu satay is some of the best I have ever had. The salads are fair but the Curries are insanely fabulous. This place is not insanely priced like all other restaurants in Maui are. Tell Jon Aloha for me.....
