The "bridal room" was actually the apartment and was filthy and there was no bathroom. The restrooms at the orchard were overflowing so porta pottys were the only available option. They were not planning on setting up the ceremony site till 15 prior to the start time. This gave us no options for pictures at the actual ceremony site. These are only a few of the many problems. Caution to anyone that is thinking about using this place for their wedding.. Good luck with your special day!

This apple orchard is an old family tradition in our family. We would take a drive north every fall to pick apples at the apple farm. This place has changed a lot over the years and it now has a lot to offer for a fun filled fall day. Near the main building, they have a petting zoo, pony rides, walking trails, horse trail rides, and more. Inside they have a place where you can watch the apples getting cleaned as well as a little bakery and a place to sample all the apple flavors and apple cider. This year is the first time in a long time that we actually went out on the tractor ride to pick apples. It was as fun as I remember. They color code the trees by variety with ribbon to make it easy to choose your favorites. The only thing I would change – they should mark their pick up locations for those of us who wander a bit too far – that way we can find the next pick up stop.
I highly recommend you check out their cider and their bakery items. Their caramel apple pull apart is so yummy! Even if you don’t live nearby, I recommend you check out their website http://www.minnesotaharvest.net/ for some great information on a wide variety of apple varieties and a long glossary of apple terms.

Minnesota Harvest has been part of our family tradition since my wife & I were dating in High School. We now bring our children.
They have a huge, beautiful, apple orchard, petting zoo, play area/park, bakery, and family restaurant. A one stop family event. They have wagon rides into the orchard where you can pick your own apples, pumpkins, grapes, you name it. They also have pony rides and horse back riding!
The food at the restaurant is amazing, atmosphere is warmand homey, their bakery goods will make you want the BIG car next time. We especially like the apple cider floats, apple doughnuts, and take your pick of apple pastry ala mode!
Open 7 days a week! Highly Recommend.

Sponsel's is one of my favorite places on Earth! I love to take my friends walking there. It's gone through some changes over the years, but it retains it's sense of the old fashioned. Sponsel's was the first place I visited in Minnesota that felt like home ( I moved here from New England in 1991). They offer a huge variety of apples and have added peaches to the mix in recent years. They've also added an "alphabet trail" based on Topper Sponsel's book "A if For Apple". You can buy the book at the orchard. They sell mouth watering baked goods, as well. They offer wagon rides through the orchard, and horseback riding as well. Check out their website...http://www.minnesotaharvest.net/

I have gone apple picking to this orchard many times. I love to go there. You can taste their apple ciders and the current apple varieties that are grown in their orchard. After deciding which apple you want , you hop on their trolleys and venture into the orchard for apple picking. they guide you as how to pick apples and you can plucks as much you can want. When you come back to the office you pay for whatever you picked.
They have a lovely bakery where you can try out various apple desserts like the apple pie and the apple dumplings.
You can even buy apple cider and maple syrups.
The apples are very cheap , you buy 10 lbs of apple for 10$ and also have fun picking it yourself.
Great place for family outings.
