I have been going to Jewett City Pizza Palace for years and infact I will have some of the greatest pizza right now. None of the pizza chains can even compare to their pizza.

Decor is worn but that might be because of being so popular. Where else can you get a cheeseburger cooked to order for around $3? The fried clams are abundant, fresh, not ever sandy, and not greasy. For such a small restaurant, they have a good variety of items at reasonable cost. Theywaitstaff is friendly and will have your items cooked to order or adjusted to your taste without batting an eye. The house dressing is available for purchase in takeout cups---it is worth it as the secret recipe is delicious. The softdrinks are on the small side and they do not have refills, it is more econmical to order a bottle of softdrink if all at the table can agree on a flavor.
Pros: good parking, good variety, great prices, fast

Very competetive prices. Decent number of pumps, which means you usually don't have to wait too long. The pumps are well lit too! One major draw back is it's location! SItuated at the intersection of Rt 138 and Main St, traffic can sometimes be troublesome when leaving the station. Although, if you get stuck, it's a good excuse to just park and walk to Arremony's Bakery, just next door.
PROS: price, well lit
CONS: Traffic can make it tough to get out

This is prob one of the beste places in town in terms of price. They're typically 10-14 cents cheaper than the ones right off of 395 in lisbon and 8-10 cents cheaper than the ones off of Rt 138. Plus, they still have the pumps with the locking handle, so you don't have to squeeze the handle....a very big plus if you drive a gas guzzler like I do. The station itself is pretty small, but still has that comfy mom and pop feel. Unfortunately, they only have 4 pumps, so hit it up early in the morning or you'll be waiting in line! One major drawback, they have so many signs advertising cigarette prices out by the entrance/exit, that it can get hard to see when you're trying to leave.
PROS: Lowest prices in town, lazyman's pump handles
CONS: Only 4 pumps!

Open late (if not 24 hours), good lighting, decent number of pumps, and best of all, competetive prices! Good location, right next to the Pizza Palace and across from Subway, not a good place to stop if you're hungry and out of cash! Inside, the Xtra mart is spacious, clean, and well lit. Very good selection of food and have never had a problem with service. Unfortunately, the pumps tend to be a bit on the slow side compared to other stations, so if you've got a big car, it could take awhile.
PROS: Price, located near food, open late
