Arris' Pizza Palace is one of those place where people from 10 to 100 have probably been there at least once. If you are 50, you've been there more times than you can count. Owned by a Greek family, this is the real stuff. If you like the gooey, loaded Pizza, pass by the supreme and order Georgia's Special. It's not health food (but then this isn't a salad bar) but has tomatoes and bacon and loaded with cheese. Just the smell from the street will draw you in.

One of those places that you have to try if you've just moved to Jefferson City, or if you are just passing through. Zesto has been around for what seems like forever, considering that the well over 50 crowd went there when they were kids! You can get that chocolate dipped cone that will be so big you wondered why you ordered a large except that it was such a great price. You can get that mix and match personal choice of shake, and then for "dessert", have that turkey sandwich or the BBQ beef.

This cafe is the best place to eat, to relax with friends, not to mention the food and service. You won't believe the atmosphere. You feel as if you've walked into a small Tuscan village. And the owners make you feel as if you are part of their village family. With such a wide variety of foods and drinks, you can't help but enjoy your experience. From breakfast to the late night coffee and dessert, you will leave the aromatic restaurant feeling delighted in just having the experience. One more thing, always ask for the head chef to sing out one of his favorite tunes while preparing your meal. With all these great qualities, I put the cafe on my travel intenerary each time I pass through the area. Don't miss it!

El Jimador has been one of my favorite restaurants in the Central MO area since they opened. I can always count on a good meal at a good price. I can also count on going out of there with a smile on my face, not only from the good food in my belly but the fun atmosphere and friendly staff. They always have smiles on their faces and love to have fun with the customers. A very good choice for authentic food, authentic atmosphere at a good price!

Madison's Cafe is the best of the best for Italian cuisine in the booming metropolis of Jefferson City! Weather you call it in and carry it home ( or to work ) or if you go in and spend an hour in the charming yet family friendly dining area or outside seating area you are sure to leave full and feel right at home. This is a great place to take your family for a family of 11 out for a birthday dinner or a date of 2 hoping for some private time and a romantic atmosphere! Personal recommendation are the Stuffed Mushrooms and the House Salad. I have NEVER tasted a salad dressing as good as the one served with their salads! Not only is the food awesome they consistently run buy one get one free coupons in the paper, making it even more affordable than it currently is! Four stars all around!

Schulte's IGA was once the largest grocery in a small town. They have stayed with only one store and by doing so have kept the reputation of having the freshest meat and the best produce in Jefferson City. On top of that, the bakery is run by one of the best bakers in town, and the store's donuts and cinnamon rolls are famous in the area. It has maintained that small store atmosphere in a time of chain store takeovers.

They were one o fthe first really classy oriental restaurants to open in the area in 1977. Out on the "boulevard" with all the fast food places, you'll find calm and ambiance inside the doors of Yen Ching. Located on the west end at 2208 Missouri Blvd., it's a place for the date or the lunch, the special or the casual.

This little ice cream shop has always been a family favorite, but the new owners have knocked themselves out. The place looks great, is fun and clean. The staff is friendly and the order is always perfect, even when there are a lot of us.

I will not eat chinese anywhere else!!! This is the best place, they are very fast at lunch or anytime. I especially love thier crab ragoons!!!! They are the best in town! This place is great. They serve hot tea in little glass cups my kids absolutly enjoy this!!! The food is great!!!
