The salon is awesome, very young and modern chic. They have a full bar, lounge area, and a super cute boutique to enjoy while being pampered with the best products around. Amanda Powell is an AMAZING stylist. She is young, creative, and specializes in color and styling to assure you get exactly the look you want. She will make sure you walk out of the salon looking fabulous! She is also great with products and picks the best ones to assure that you can maintain your new do. I have curly hair and she knows exactly how to cut and texturize with color, I always get such awesome complements on my hair. I will seriously never stray away from this one!
Pros: Salon has a glam atmosphere
Cons: only 1 product line...but it is an awesome line

I was invited to a wedding and was told that the bride had registered at Pineapple Post. I was pleasantly surprised to find a very unique gift and home accessories store. The carry all types of kitchenware such as dishes, platters, vases as well as garden items for the outdoors such as hammocks and planters. They even carry bath and body products. They do complimentary gift wrapping. The staff was very friendly and very helpful.

Aqua Zoo at the beach is a great local pet store! They have an extremely knowledgeable staff and their selection of pets is superb. They specialize in fish of all kinds and have a large assortment of both fresh and salt water aquarium fish available.
They also offer a large assortment of reptile species, many different rodents, and small to medium sized hand-fed birds. In addition to their animal selection, they have one of the widest selection of aquarium decorations I've seen. They offer foods for all kinds of animals and have a wide variety of leashes, collars, toys, and cages to choose from.

When you walk into the Cat's Meow Boutique in Jacksonville Beach you feel like you have just walked into a boutique in South Beach or Palm Beach. They carry very trendy, high end clothes and accessories. They carry Carpe Jeans and even Sarah Shaw handbags. It is very expensive but Jacksonville residents that often travel to places like Miami or Atlanta to do their shopping should check out Cat's Meow because you can now find high end trendy designer clothes right here at home.

Until just a few months ago, I had to drive all the way to Orlando to get my fix of Guarana. Then my mom happened upon this store, Brazil Imports. Finally! I only have to drive across town to get my supply of Guarana and some Dulce de Leche, or my brother's favorite, Guava jelly.
The store has, as I've mentioned, some food for sale. Not a lot, as it's a small store, but it has many of the things people love from Brazil. They also sell some of those famous Brazilian bikinis and Havaianas flip-flops, some Portuguese CDs, and other various Brazilian imports. It's a small selection for now, but the owner has assured me both times I've been in there that more merchandise will be coming. She also said she is undergoing certification to open a small bakery-ish part of the store.
The reason they only got 3 stars, though, is due to the small selection and the higher prices. I realize imported items cost more all the time, but their prices are higher than the Brazil store I frequented in Tampa and the one I found in Orlando. But to have it in MY town, I suppose, makes it worth it!
