A couple of our favorite paella places fell victims to this crazy economy, so we've been looking for a new restaurant that serves it properly, and we found it! The only thing that doesn’t make sense about this place is that is never packed. WHY? I guess that is better for us, lol. Food is awesome, portions are large and there is a battalion of servers, all willing and ready with a friendly smile in their faces. We personally don’t care for a guitarist singing to us while we eat, but since a lot of people I know likes it, I'll not list it as a con. This was a nice addition to our regular restaurants Pros: Food quality, attentive servers, prices Cons: parking

the chicken soup tasted like out of the can, the caldo gallego was tasteless, the house salad was pathetic with few lettuce & one tomato. the server refused to serve us the coffee that was part of the meal saying one of us already had it. never mind that it was billed separately. that's kind of dishonest. we were not crazy about drinking the coffee, but its the principle of the thing. you advertised it, you serve it. the food didn't lived up to the price tag. Our group has been to Cafe Salamanca many times. We all always have the lobster. The sangria is very good. We always get a pitcher of white and one of red. The food is wonderful and the atmosphere with the strolling gutarist is very cozy. The only problem is the parking. You must ride around and find a spot. But it is well worth it ! Make a reservation for large groups. Pros: Good food, good value, nice atmosphere, wonderful staff. Cons: Street Parking
