Well i came here because my friend recommended me this salon, honestly i thought my hair came out great! I previously had an orangy looking blonde color, and Carlos turned it in to an ash blonde with low lighta that I absolutly loved! The only problem was he got bleach in my eye when washing my hair, but regardless of that little incident i highly recommend their services

I first heard about this fantastic duo (Oscar and Carlos) through word of mouth. I am a skeptic at heart and with the thick, voluminous, curly, long and over processed hair that I have you would understand why. At the time, I was a bride to be without a stylist for hair and make-up. Oh, and less than three weeks until my wedding date. I called to make an informative appointment. To my surprise, I found a group of stylist who took the time to sit down, converse and listen to exactly what I wanted by phone and in person. I made an appointment for the next day (trail date) and I am extremely happy I did. I was also looking at the end results of the other customers and liked what I saw. Its now two days before my wedding and I called not only to confirm but to add 6 people to the list. Not a problem! They opened for me at 6:30 a.m. and had us all out and on time. These people are truly amazing! They showed the best team work ever. Each one had their specialization . They showed their respect towards each other, by advising to the client (me) who I should go to and for what. My eternal thanks and recommendations are: Make-up: --Carlos --Thank you for giving me/us the facial glamour. I only did a touch up on my lips once. The make-up lasted straight untill the next day! Stylist:--Oscar --Thank you for your attention to detail, each one of our elegant styles were uniquely inspirational. I was complimented the whole night. All of the dancing and summer heat was no match for your exceptional work of art. Color:--Tony-- Thank you for fixing my over processed hair color mess. I went from having 8 different shades of orange, red and blond to becoming a beautiful traditional light brunette. A beautiful job. My hair now has life and shine! Thank you all again. PROS: Amazing! Reliable! Great service! Great Talent! Beautiful job CONS: They do not make house calls.

I first heard about this fantastic duo (Oscar and Carlos) through word of mouth. I am a skeptic at heart and If you have thick, voluminous, curly, long and over processed hair like I do you would understand why. Carlos is a great colorist as well. They are in tune to their clientele which is essential at a Hair Salon. I have taken numerous friends of mine and all of them rave about him and his salon. He is creative, unique in what he does...a true gem! A great benefit to the area and great also to have in the Jackson Heights Community. The lady in the back Leonela also does a great manicure and pedicure. They have it all, from facials to massages. A great spot in Jackson Heights! Pros: A great salon in the Jackson heights area! It's a beautiful and intimate little place and the other customers around me were all loving their hair too. I saw oscar for a haircut and I'll be going back soon for color. He listened carefully to what I wanted to do and I felt like there was nothing more important to him in the world at the time other than me and my hair. He's a pro! Pros: Talented professionals

I've been a customer of Oscar Da Silva Beauty Salon for many years, and since day one I knew I found the place I was looking for so long. Other than being a beautiful salon, decorated with a very fine and high class taste with an ambiance of a exclusive relaxing spa, something you can not find everywhere, probably only in Hollywood where only celebrities get to go, Oscar da Silva owners and personal make me feel every time I go like the first day I walked there, always welcomed very welcomed with a warm smile and hugs, they always make me feel so comfortable that I never felt that way in any other salon before I met them. I always feel pampered like a princess. I love this place so much, that I always look forward to go, not only because I consider the people there my friends now as they always had treated me like a friend and family, but because also I feel so much at ease to let them take care of me. Every time I walk into Oscar Da Silva Salon, I feel like I've been in the program of extreme makeover, as the work they do is amazing. Oscar is one of the best hairdressers I've ever known. He is highly artistic, creative and loves his profession. Carlos makes wonder with his hands, as a make up artist he is the best. And despite all of this they have wonderful personalities and are very down to earth. No wonder why all of the people who met them, get to love them so much. Ive been going to Oscar Dasilvas since its opening, making me a customer going on 11 years, and I'm planning on making it 11 more. Everyone there is so friendly, and I really feel like it is my second home. The stylists always seem to be on top of every new style, cut, trend, and color. It is amazing the amount of knowledge everyone has on making you the most beautiful you can possibly be. They feel as though every customer is potentially a walking piece of art, and also a living advertisement for the salon, so they wont let you leave until everything is perfect. I have very unmanagable hair, but everytime I go, I am given an endless amount of options for styles, and I am never bored because they always seem to surprise me with something new. I leave the salon feeling like I should be on the cover of a magazine. I really feel like I am part of a something special there and I recommend anyone who wants to be an environment like that to come down and join the family. Great Hair, Great Service, Great Friends. What more could you ask for? Pros: Everything Cons: That they arent open 24 hours a day.
