I went to Jackson as soon as I turned eighteen. They have plenty of tables and slots so you don;t have to wait to spend your money. They also have a program where if you sign up they give you $5 which can come in handy when youre gambling

I love El Torero's chips and salsa. The chips that are like the flour tostitas are the best. The service sometimes can be a little slow but they have decent prices for some good Mexican food. My dad really loves this place and we have been going for several years.

Hein and company is basically a two story store dedicated to used books. True, there is a coffee shop located in the foyer, but it's almost an afterthought. They carry a wide selection of used books, and will pay cash or credit for books. They have a clearance/budget table every day. The staff claim to "know where every book is" which is no small feat. I haven't put that to the test, but they do know their stock. You can even get rarities, like the old Oz books by Baum. A lot of their stock is quite inexpensive, for the stuff that is still in print or not popular.

The Jackson Cat House isn't at all what you would think by the name. They carry all kinds of little statuaries and collectables.
On the weekend it's almost impossible to find parking so go during the week and shop to your heart's content.

Jackson Rancheria Casino is just one of several Indian Reservation in California. If you can't make it out to one of the hotter gambling sites such as Las Vegas or Reno and are only want to gamble, then this Indian reservation is for you. If you get there early enough, you can find a $3 blackjack table but on some nights the minimum they have is $10 hands which could easily break alot of peoples banks. Don't forget to take advantage of the free drinks offered!
