This office is conveniently located in a shopping plaza near the mall. They have several different dentists, and because of this, it is very easy to get an appointment. I believe they do all sorts of dentistry, as I have had cleanings there, as well as my wisdom tooth taken out. I never have to wait very long in the waiting room at all, and they accept very many different types of insurance. The only drawback to this place is that they don't like to prescribe medication after certain procedures like root canals and extractions. After having my wisdom tooth removed, I was in great pain and had nothing for relief, and not even antibiotics for infection. Otherwise, for just a cleaning or something, they are terrific.

Oasis took my order by phone, which Greenstar couldnt, which was SO helpful since my Ithaca College student daughter was down with fever during midterm exams and had run out of all supplement treatments like vitamin C and olive leaf, etc. Oasis made great recommendations for throat spray, lozenges and "deep defense" and "wellness" products, so I made the purchase over the phone and within the hour my daughter had the products to give her the help she needed. Thanks SO much OASIS !!! Love your personalized attention to the customer. I cannot thank you enough for helping me take care of my daughter when I cannot be nearby. (Im in philly area)

Northside pharmacy is located in the Collegetown area and that is probably the most important feature. If you need medicine - over the counter or prescription - this is a good, convenient choice, especially if you are sick and the weather is bad.
For those with cars, there are other pharmacies in town, including Rite Aid in Triphammer Plaza, but the convenience factor for Northside is big. Another option to consider is for students at Cornell is Gannett. Not only is it also relatively close, but you can bursar the prescriptions so you don't have to pay cash.
If you need something relatively simple and are in a bind, Northside is a good choice. It is very close to Collegetown and easily accessible.

I've been going here for three years, and I have always been pleased with the level of professionalism, courtesy, and care. I have a small mouth and previous (male) dentists (with large hands) have made dentistry very uncomfortable. Dr. Gupta is gentle and has small hands, so dentistry is no longer painful for me at all. When you need a local anastetic before a filling, she will make sure to do the filling while the painkiller is in full effect. Other dentists I have had would go work on someone else, and by the time they got back to work on me, the painkiller would be almost gone. Not Dr Gupta. She pays attention to her patients and does her best to make sure the visit is comfortable.
Another great thing is that she isn't involved in orthodontics. That means if you have bad teeth like me, but can't afford orthodontic work, she won't constantly harass you or make you feel bad about your teeth (unlike someone who is making most of their money off braces). My first visit, I explained I couldn't afford braces, and ever since she has made helpful suggestions for me to have the healthiest teeth I can until I can get them straightened.
In summary, I highly recommend Dr Gupta and Cayuga Family Dental. It is the most painfree, guilt free dentistry I have ever experienced.

A Center of Excellence with top notch skilled physicians. I have a 3 year old and 1 year old both as patients and have seen all 3 physicians. I cannot compliment their patient care skills enough, I have referred several friends and family members and all have their own wonderful experiences. Surrounded by many regional university and Medical Center locations, I highly recommend these docs above the rest! thank you!

The Inn @ City Lights is a restored 1863 Greek Revival home that is located an easy 2 miles west of downtown Ithaca up on a hill with a beautiful panoramic view (hence the name City Lights for the nighttime view). There is a strictly enforced no smoking policy in the house and well behaved pets ARE welcomed. There are also 7+ acres of grounds to stroll, jog, or hike or even cross-country ski in the winter, and the gardens surrounding the house are nice, too. Colleen and Evan are great hosts and make up a delicious breakfast. This is the place where we always invite our guests to stay and they have all loved it.

I saw Dr. Smith when I first came to Ithaca. I knew that I was allergic to things, but didn't quite know the extent. Dr. Smith conducted all the necessary tests and developed a serum for me to take. I started to take allergy shots and they definitely helped my symptoms subside.
Dr. Smith was always very friendly and kind. I felt very comfortable in his care.
If you are planning on continuing allergy treatments are want to be tested for them, I would consider going to Dr. Smith if he is covered by your insurance. Alternatively, Gannett also offers allergy shots although I am not sure whether they do the original tests to develop a personalized serum.
