Some co-workers talked me into going to Issaquah for lunch to try some BBQ place. Unfortunately when we got there, we discovered that said place was no longer in business. Since we were already in Issaquah, we decided to try something else. I lost the vote, and we ended up at XXX.
First strike, the place smells terrible. Second strike, the food is expensive. Third strike, the food doesn't taste very good. I wont be returning to this dive.
Giddy-up.

We went there for dinner on a Sat, wait to be seated for about 5-6 mins, with no one in front of us and the restaurant was not busy, the waiters were chating with customers, the girl stand at the front cashiers desk did not bother to greet us, finally I told her we need a table for four, she then asked me to wait then kept doing whatever she was busy at and got back to us about 3 mins later, point us to a table, which I don't like so I asked if we may have that empty table in the corner, she asked us to wait again, then waited to check with one of the waiter see if that;s ok, the waiter was busy so she turned and told us they were expecting large party that evening so it's not conveninent, the waiter she was waiting for heard her told her it's ok, at the time the restaurant was about 2/3 full, there are still plenty of table around, I was not happy but since we got our table, we did not complain, we then ordered our food, a sashimi deluxe plate and a combination dinner entree with teriyaki steak and ebi fry, the sashimi was pretty good, but the dinner entrees was below average, but acceptable, service during dinner was ok, they are polite, and that's about all I can say about the servie, after we finish our dinner, we showed the waiter the Entertainment discount card which will give us 50% of the meal up to $20 dollars, the waiter asked us if we know the policy, I said yes, but he decide to "let us know the policy" again anyway- the discount is 50% off up to $20 and the tip is based on the charge before discount, I do intend to pay proper tip so I have not problem and told him we know the policy, but what I do not feel comfortable is that when he brough the bill, he told us he charged the tip automatically already, he charged 20%, I was very pissed off that he did not asked me first what I want to do with gratuities before he charged to my credit card, I guessed he had lots of bad experienced before but still I am pretty bad, too bad we were in a rush at the time so I did not argue, but II will never go back to that restaurant again.

Mother's Day. Anniversary. Birthday. JAK's is a great place to celebrate!
The long lines out the door tell you something. There is no other like JAK's in the immediate community. If you want an excellent steak, a lively atmosphere and spunky service JAK's is the place.
Several establishments surround JAK's and specialize in a place to have a tall one as you wait your turn on JAK's waiting list. Have the desk call you when your table is ready.

This is our new favorite restaurant! It is a mixture of bulgarian and mediterranean food. Great prices, dinners run around 12-15 dollars, however they have a great selection of sandwichs and pasta dishes for under 10 dollars. They also have a varied wine and beer selection that is sure to whet anyone's taste bud's. Execellant service everytime we've gone! Be forewarned that it is a hard place to find, the best way to find it is to take Gilman until you find Safeway then turn onto 7th Ave NW, take a left on Locust st. and you are in heaven! Happy eating!

The new owners of Cucina Cucina have ruined the restaurant. After years of excellent food and service from Cucina Cucina, it looks as if my wife and I and had our last $75 dinner there. Based on the food and service we have been experiencing the last few visits, I predict the restaurants will be shutting down soon. (No wonder the best Cucina Cucina on Lake Union is gone.) Lets take last night's experience at 6:15 at the Issaquah Cucina Cucina ITALIAN Cafe, ooops I mean the Issaquah Cucina Cucina Cafe. Arrive at 6:15 and have to wait until 6:45 to be seated only to find when getting inside the restaurant that it is half empty! Then, the appetizer and drinks arrive fairly fast but that seems to be a way to pacify the long wait for the entrees. The new owners of this restaurant chain have destroyed a good thing. Thanks for the good times, we always had enjoyed the food, good service and the Italian talking in the bathrooms.

More
If you would like to enjoy the fun of indoor barbeque without making your kitchen smelly or smoky, this is the place to visit. This restaurant has various kinds of well-marinated meat and seafood selections for barbequing on a table-top grill. It is really fun to share the experience of the Korean-style barbequing with friends and family members. We also go there for other great-tasting dishes including the hot tofu soup, an ultimate comfort food on a chilly winter night. The service is a little slow but you can get seated without much wait.

My son was thrilled with his Mickey Mouse Pancakes. He colored and looked at all the airplane memorabilia while we waited for our food. It came out quick and was very tasty. We went on a weekend but lucked out by getting seated right away. When we left there were quite a few people waiting for seats.

This location, one of the nationwide chain, produces poor pizza. Whether or not this is typical of the chain is unknown, because after one order (of two different pizzas), I will never purchase there again. The lack of quality ingredients made both barely edible.

Okay, it's not close. Flying Pie is about 25 minutes east of downtown Seattle. If you are like me, pizza, bread and the whole carb wagon are verboten. If you are going to splurge, make it worth your while and take the drive, totally worth it. Homemade crusts, rich sauces and tons of toppings. The best pizza I have ever had, in any city, in any state, ever, period.
