I have been to XXX a handful of times in the 13 years I lived on the Eastside, and the last time we went with friends a few weeks ago it was a miserable experience. The root beer was as good as always. The onion rings and fries were just greasy and the burgers were nothing special. Our server was downright rude to myself and our friends, and that sealed the deal. Two thumbs down for this place.

Once upon a time, I was a teenager & a college student (in the 1950's & 1960's). Triple EX Rootbeer takes me back to those halcyon days. Hamburgers, milk shakes, fries to die for (or from). Good onion rings as well. Great music from the 50's & 60's on the jukebox evokes memories of former girlfriends. Old cars that represent the cars I grew up with. What a live fantasy! Excellent family run business with friendly staff & management. Fast food with a flair not to be found in the "chains". Support your local merchant.
Pros: parking, the look & feel of the 1950's, great food
Cons: Smallish indoor space for cold weather.

Though the food is a bit pricy, it is worth the extra few bucks for the food and experience.
I feel that those who complain of the over-rated and high prices are failing to see the fun and nostalgia of it all. The Issaquah TripleX is one of only two TripleX drive-ins still operating anywhere. The other is in West Lafayette, Indiana.
Its a blast to drive youre old car in, see other old and muscle cars, visit with Jose (the owner, who is wonderful by the way) and have a burger, fries and a float.
The food portions are quite large. Those with an average appetite can share one meal and be completely satisfied. And so what if you have to wait 20 minutes, this isnt a fast food joint.
If youre on a schedule or lunch break, call your order in ahead of time.
So, if you are looking for a fun time, with old cars, and old fashioned burgers with an exptremely friendly and fun staff this is a place for you to try!
Pros: Jose, & his staff! Old cars, FUN!

The abiance of this place is really great. Grab a menu on your way in or sit outside
but dont miss the old fashion counter . The staff sits down with you to discuss the menu and made the whole dining experiance feel like a friends . The jukebox plays music right out of the 50s and 60s and fills the air with joy. I will most definitely visit once more before leaving the area and will return every chance I get. Thank you for the works XXX crew.
Pros: friendly service, Great food, good times

I went here based on the hype and everything that I read, and I must say this was one of the most overrated restaurants i've ever been to. The burgers were insanely expensive ($28 for two burgers and two root beers) and wasn't much better than something I would get at Dicks or Fat Burger for 1/2 the price.. The food was good, but not at that price. Wouldn't go back there again...

Some co-workers talked me into going to Issaquah for lunch to try some BBQ place. Unfortunately when we got there, we discovered that said place was no longer in business. Since we were already in Issaquah, we decided to try something else. I lost the vote, and we ended up at XXX.
First strike, the place smells terrible. Second strike, the food is expensive. Third strike, the food doesn't taste very good. I wont be returning to this dive.
Giddy-up.

Add to this the fact that the place is covered wall to wall with real 50s car memorabilia and that the manager is a very kid friendly person (although the wait staff is forgetful) and you are all set.

Bring your quarters - the juke box is very tempting. Awesome place to go with groups of friends. Especially when they are having a car show. Everything is old school... drippin' in grease and damn good! Be aware though, you won't walk outta there without a bill under $50. It climbs fast with extras.
Pros: Good Music, XL Servings, Entertaining
Cons: Somewhat Overpriced

Everytime, I go to this place, I savor it. I just know that it will one day soon be demolished for a condo complex, but in the mean time get to one of the ten best root beer joints left in the country. They are famous for their root beers and with great justification. The kids and I can each slurp one and beg for more.
The memorabilia is wonderful and the family that owns it just great. The best spot is actually their bar area where you can watch them make things.
The hamburgers are of course great, but we just love their flat tires (flat chicken breast) and their onion rings are wonderful. The french fries are super fresh. The four on the floor (four chicken strips) are wonderful. We did find their fish sticks to be a little greasy. Their chicken burger is wonderful.
It is a wonderful place to try post skiing at the Summit or after a bike ride. Big picnic area outside too!
