Those of us who, twenty or thirty years ago, paid for our membership in monthly installments couldn’t help being miffed when our investment was reduced to month-long sales on selected items; now PCC was no more a coop than Safeway or QFC, whose own discount cards offered much greater values. When, almost ten years ago, PCC stopped having month-long sales for members on even selected items but offered these values only on two days per month, I doubt that I was alone in wanting my money back. Now I’ve had to stop thinking of PCC as my store; it’s an overpriced specialty shop where good health is for the affluent; others are better off going to Safeway or Grocery Outlet. My rating is for the middle and upper classes; this store is undeniably beautiful and an exciting place to shop.

PCC is a store filled with healthy, organic food and produce. The variety of some things (particularly meats) is at times sparse, but if it's whole grains and bulk items you want, you'll find them in abundance. Their fresh counter offers a good selection of prepared deli items. My kids also love coming in here because they always let them have a free apple or banana.

I liked the produce section and the prepared foods the best, but overall the brands they get there and the bulk food are really top notch.
If you are a vegetarian or health conscious, this market really caters to that vibe. Check it out.

PCC carrys lots of organic produce and bulk products. Often times the bulk items are the same as the pre-packaged stuff and much less expensive.
If you need help with vitamins, they have lots of people that can help you determine the best value.
I enjoy perusing through the section with all of the gifts, lotions and soaps.
Recycle your paper bags from your last shopping trip for a small discount.

Over the years I have lived in the Seattle area, my search for good tasty strawberries had been fertile, often causing bitter disappointment. Most of the store-bought strawberries tasted like nothing; oversized strawberries with no flavor! But I have recently found my treasure at PCC. They carry organic strawberries which are fresh and sweet. They really taste like the strawberries which I remember eating in my childhood. They are priced reasonably as well. You can get great-tasting fruits at PCC when you know the right season for each fruit. The added bonus is that they are all organic!
