Those of us who, twenty or thirty years ago, paid for our membership in monthly installments couldn’t help being miffed when our investment was reduced to month-long sales on selected items; now PCC was no more a coop than Safeway or QFC, whose own discount cards offered much greater values. When, almost ten years ago, PCC stopped having month-long sales for members on even selected items but offered these values only on two days per month, I doubt that I was alone in wanting my money back. Now I’ve had to stop thinking of PCC as my store; it’s an overpriced specialty shop where good health is for the affluent; others are better off going to Safeway or Grocery Outlet. My rating is for the middle and upper classes; this store is undeniably beautiful and an exciting place to shop.

You'll go crazy over the selection of meats this place has to offer. They have an excellent selection of sausages, steaks and chops, plus some of the best bacon you will ever taste. My wife and I have driven over to Issaquah just to stop in, visit the hatchery and buy something delicious to take home and cook. The price is right, and the quality is outstanding. Stop by if your in town, or drive thirty miles...it will be worth your time and gas.

Trader Joe's has a huge selection of organic, ethnic, and unique food varieties that you won't find at most grocery stores, for a price that's hard to beat! Not only do they have a good selection of other brands, if you buy something carrying the Trader Joe's brand, you know it's going to be delicious. Try the Sweet, Savory, and Salty trail mix, filled with nuts, dried cranberries, and chocolate chips, and see if you can stop eating before half the bag is gone! Luckily, with such low prices, it doesn't matter!

Most local grocery stores pale in comparison to the national chain stores in both size and variety. However, the Front Street Market holds its own with an impressive produce section that is kept stocked with the latest in seasonal fruits and peppers. They have all the traditional goods you will find at a chain, but they have optimized their shelf space to make shopping an efficient experience. Not to mention they have tasty donuts.

We try to buy all of our celebratory cakes at our local QFC. Their bakery always does a great job, the cakes are always tasty and ready on time, and their prices are competitive. The bakery staff is more than helpful and will work with you to get your cake just right. They have a book with countless choices for cake design and they’re excellent at doing photo cakes!

They have a great selection of snacks and a good selection in the deli. Also nice if you need a quick something and you don't want to drive all the way into Issaquah. The prices are the same as most other convenient stores.
