I went to college in Irving and Midori was the first sushi restaurant I ever ate at. That being said, now that I have moved home to Houston I go to Midori every time I go back to the dallas area. Their sushi is great for the price. The service isn't stellar but if you sit at the sushi bar the sushi chefs are always chatty. Get the Sushi Burrito, it's delicious!
Pros: Great Sushi, inventive rolls
Cons: Sometimes service is lacking

The slogan written on the door is, "So good, it'll make you slap yo mama." Well ok then...I am the type of person who usually finishes off everything that is put in front of me. Well OK, I finished the chicken fried steak too, but it did take some doing. Po Melvins serves very good home style cooking at very good prices. If the chicken fried steak were any bigger, it would have needed side boards to keep it on the plate. And it was a hand dipped one, not one of those box jobs you'll find at other places. I liked being able to choose which yummy veggies to eat. Note--there are five to six of the vegetables that have an asterisk next to them with the footnote that they are seasoned with pork. The prices are less than you would get at a Cracker Barrel or Black Eyed Pea and the food just tastes better. The restaurant itself doesn't look like much from either the outside or inside, but this is just what I would say is Family owned vs. Corporate carbon copy dining. I would think that this place would be great for either lunch or family dining in the evening.

I love Maki Boy. This is the place i came to love sushi. Since then, i have had sushi everywhere and this is hands down the best place. You can get a 12 piece rainbow roll for 9 bucks. Anywhere else you would pay 20 and its not even half as good. Great all you can eat sides. Wonderful and nice staff.

This is by far the best Indian in DFW. I am a huge fan of Indian after trying numerous other places in DFW I keep thinking Pasand has the best food around. The spices are real and when you order your food hot it isn't dumbed down for American taste buds. The service is efficient, but don't expect mindless small talk. The Irving location and the Richardson location are both excellent choices to satisy your craving for Indian cuisine.
Pros: Excellent food in a casual setting
Cons: Service can be a little dry

My son plays for the NY Jets. He was going to play the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day. My mother had flown down from Arizona for the holidays. We decided to meet at the Italian Cafe for supper. It turned out to be awonderful night thanks to the Italian Cafe service. We had a party of 15. Not one thing was sent back, the service was wonderful and the food was outstanding!! We had a wonderful time and I would recomend this restaurant to anyone. Thank you so much Italian Cafe. When the Jets play Dallas again, we will be back.
Pros: Food, Service. Just everything
Cons: Need a restaurant closer to my home

Breakfast is superb. Eggs cooked the way they are supposed to be, most places don't know how t prepare basted eggs, The best I've had in many years. The Waffle is very good as well. Crisp on the outside and light and fluffy inside. Other than the coffee not being Starbucks it was outstanding.
Pros: Old Fashion Home Cooking
Cons: It is a little worn.

This Thai restaurant is by far the best I have been to in the DFW area. I have tried their thai fried rice, pineapple fried rice, pad kee mao, pad see lew, their curries and everything is sooo good! I try other Thai places to venture out, but i keep coming back to this place because there truly s no other place like this one.I love spicy food but even a 3/5 is too hot for me. I recommend you get a 1 or a 2 level of spiciness.
Pros: The Best Thai food ever
Cons: Small and not good for large crowds
