I love Maki Boy. This is the place i came to love sushi. Since then, i have had sushi everywhere and this is hands down the best place. You can get a 12 piece rainbow roll for 9 bucks. Anywhere else you would pay 20 and its not even half as good. Great all you can eat sides. Wonderful and nice staff.

Maki Boy is the best Sushi in Irving! Tempura is wonderful. Fun quirky atmosphere, and the nicest staff in the Metroplex.

Per the other 2 reviews of Maki Boy, I would also chime in that it is very good. I have only had the Philadelphia rolls on the sushi side of the house, but they were very good, and you could tell the ingredients were very fresh. On the Korean side of the menu, I have tried the Bibimbob, and the spicy bean paste soup. I was impressed on how fresh both dishes were. The bibimbob had all of the veggies nicley compartmentalized, so that each one was seperate, and thus, retained their crispyness. The rice came in a different container ( take -out) so that it would not get soggy on the trip home. Also little containers contained the hot spicy paste you mix in it. You get your choice of what meat you want to add. Another plus to Maki Boy, is that they have a panchon station, that is, you can serve your self the assorted little dishes you get at Korean rests, such as kimchee, cucumber, etc. I was impressed on how fresh the food was, and yes, the strawberry - bananna smoothies are to die for.

There is many Asian style restaurants up and down Beltline, but this place has got to be one of the best ones I've been to. It is hidden and you will probably pass it if you are not looking really hard for the small signs. It is a small place but when we went for lunch there was nobody else there. It doesn't look like it has been open for very long. Their prices are VERY good and their food is fantastic. The sushi I had was the Shrimp Tempura Rolls and it was excellent. It was fresh, flavorful and had a very appetizing appearance. I also had the Spicy Mayo Chicken bowl for $4.69 and the flavor and appearance was great. Everyone else in my group remarked at how fantastic their food was. Even a vegetarian chef that was with us thought her food was very well prepared and authentic. The service was also fantastic. I highly recommend this restaurant.
I've been back several times and I wish I had ordered the jalepeno roll a long time ago, it was the best.

PROS: Great food, great taste, great service
CONS: There is nothing negative that I could say about this place.
