I don't think I've ever been unsatisfied at any of my Marriott experiences. As usual, the rooms were comfortable, roomy, and very accommodating. The staff is always helpful and the amenities are awesome.
PROS: Amenities, Staff, Room

I have moved all over the United States, used all the big names, Mayflower, United, Allied, Bekins, and have horror stories for each one... but, last summer I found the absolute best moving company in Southern California.
The Moving Depot (L&N Movers, Inc.) arrived EARLY!!! and then it only got better! Each mover was introduced to me by the supervisor before starting, each one shaking my hand and telling me their name. These guys as it turn out, work together as a team every day. They worked hard despite the heat and even had suggestions for me as to the placement of furniture in my new home...!!! The guys were neat, clean, friendly, trustworthy. I NEVER got the creepy feeling that I got from the "inmates" hired by the companies I previously used.
Now, on to the important stuff-price... Their price was comparable to others especially since they were so wonderful to work with.

La Quinta Hotel in Irvine is an alright establishment. They have many rooms of ok quality- not superb, but clean enough with no serious problems. They also have a nice pool area. However this hotel is kind of in the middle of nowhere- nearby is an Ikea and no restaurants. Unfortunately it's not the most convienient in this respect- but however they have good amenities like wireless internet and cheap prices.

If it wasn't for the high cost of flying into John Wayne Airport, this airport would be perfect. LAX is much larger and somewhat cheaper but is often crowded and hectic all hours of the day. One thing that isn't great about this airport is that it is only open until 11pm because of the no fly rule in Orange County. For those flying into John Wayne after 11pm (where a flight is delayed), you'll have the option of flying to LAX and shuttled to John Wayne for free.
For those flying into John Wayne Airport who don't live in SoCal, renting a car is no problem at John Wayne Airport. You have a choice of Alamo, National, Budget, and more!

I stay here all the time, I love it! The staff is the friendliest staff you'll ever encounter, they treat everyone like a vip. The rooms are very modern and the beds are all down. Lovely! I recommend everyone stay here, you'll love it.
