Will never come back to this restaurant again. From the outside it looks like a nice restaurant, but inside looks like some cheap buffet restaurant with ugly and dirty old carpets. The waitress we had did not even introduce herself and was not attentive to us at all. We had to ask for a bread basket while she was chatting with the hostesses. It was such bad services that we didn't want to even stay for the food. Overall, no way will I ever waiste money at the place!!!!!!!! Pros: on a lake Cons: unprofessional from the hostess to the wait staff

Waters is definitely one of the best places to order seafood from since that is their specialty! It is a very fancy, stylish restaurant and it has an amazing view since it sits on top of the lake! I highly recommend getting the clam chowder if you go! The only downsides are: high pricing (because it is seafood) & because they have outdoor seating, the waiters constantly go in and out, which means lots of flies get inside ):

In the land of food chains and strip malls that is Irvine, it's nice to fine a restaurant that is independent both in ownership and location. Waters is right on a small lake... OK, it's a pond and it's man-made but it's still very nice atmosphere. The inside is not quite elegant but it's a step up from a typical family restaurant. The menu has a good variety, from sandwiches to pasta to steak, and I've enjoyed every meal I've ever had here. Service is always very professional and pretty quick.

I have been to Water's on numerous occasions for special events, lunch, brunch and dinner. The serving staff is is always friendly and attentive. I tend to be a creature of habit and like to order what I know I like. The staff has suggested some of the specials and I was very pleased with recommendations they made. The restaurant also has a cozy little bar area that overlooks the lake...great place to meet friends for a drink after work.

We've gone to Water's a few times on Friday evening to listen to live music by the water and enjoy a good meal. The bartender makes a fantastic cosmopolitan, which is a great way to end a long work week!! I usually order my favorite, the lakehouse halibut, but my husband is more adventurous and has tried the specials a few times. He always likes it and I usually eat half of it too!

Lunch is OK at Waters, but why I went back for dinner I don't know. The first time I was here the waiter was "Mr. Invisible," and that happened again tonight. The first time here we waited a v---e---r---y long time for our glasses of wine, and once again that happened tonight. When the food arrived it was OK, maybe 3-1/2 on a 1-to-5 scale. Getting the check turned out to be a big challenge -- where is "Mr. Invisible?" After I enlisted the host's help in finding the waiter, the host could at least have come back to say "I found him and he's preparing the check now." But, no, the host went to the bar to chat with his buddies. The waiter delivered the check without so much as "sorry you had to wait." I work as a professional coach helping people thrive in their day-to-day work, advance in their careers, and provide excellent service. This place will never see me or my wife again. Pros: Attractive restaurant Cons: Very bad service
