A dimunitive restaurant that serves great pizza at very affordable prices. The pizza slices served in this homestyle location are very very very big. Well worth the buck. Equipped with a TV and antiquated arcade games make this the hang out of the 80s most of us desire to see once again. At the back end of the University center.

There's absolutely nothing fancy about Ray's, but the pizza is good and the prices are good. And Ray bothers to recognize return customers and make them feel welcome. After I'd been coming for a while, he spotted me lunch when I was short one day, waved his hand, and said "You pay me later." Of course, I did - and I'm a very loyal customer now.

Really, you have to try the pizza at Ray's in Irvine. It's located right across from the UC Irvine campus - tucked in the back of the shopping center by some Akiko martial arts studio and next to a frozen yogurt place...pretty close to Diedrich's. Anyways, the 2 slices and one med drink is always popular & cheap. It seems to be a family run business. I remember they were even serving Ray's pizza inside the Edwards at Spectrum (and I loved that) but they no longer do that (plus Edwards is owned by Regal now). Anyways, their pastas are good as well.
