The staff is friendly/funny, the options are extensive, and the hot donuts are far far better than Krispy Kreme or Dunkin' Donuts at a far cheaper price. They only take cash, though. more

Best Donuts Ever!!!!!!!!!!!! 6/18/2010

When I was growing up in Avon my Dad would stop on Friday nights on his way home from work and get donuts, I don't know if they still make them or not but their applesauce donuts were to die for, no one else in all of Indianapolis made applesauce donuts so it was a real treat when he brought those home. more

Long's Yeast Donuts are addictive. They melt in your mouth. If croissants could be donuts, they'd be Long's donuts. more

I want my icing 9/30/2007

I go to longs in general one to two times per week. They have great donuts and i buy them for some of my patients. Here's my problem. When i buy jelly or any other kind of iced donust if I buy less than 6, the want to put them in a bag. I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't care to turn the bag inside out to get the icing that should be on my donut. They will charge you 50 cents if you ask to have them put in a half-dozen box. Here's a thought I'll pay for the box one time and keep taking it back to get a refill. more

Pretty Good Donuts & More 3/16/2006

My family and I have been going to Longs Bakery for a long while now. They aren't really close to where we live, but we usually go there every 2 weeks or so. They have the best donuts, brownies, cakes, cookies and so much more. We went there this Christmas to get all the goodies for our family Christmas thing. The place was PACKED! There was a giant line, we had to wait and wait, but it was ok just to get one of those melt in your mouth donuts and I got a brownie too. YUMMY, YUMMY! You can't beat a longs yeast glazed donuts, less you go to Krispy Kreme. I like them a little better ;-p more

Warm, Homemade Donuts 9/8/2005

People that have lived in this area for years, swear by Long's Bakery for donuts. They are open 7 days a week and there is always a line a mile long to get your fresh, hot donuts. Some people won't even eat donuts from anyplace else. We have had co-workers even specify which ones they like the best so we are sure to get the right ones. The employees are always friendly and willing to help no matter how busy they are. more

Move over big name doughnut shops! You can't compare to the quality & taste of a yeast doughnut from LONG's BAKERY We always go to the Southside location (Southport & madison area) You can't go wrong with the taste, be prepared to wait in line on the weekends! Take a dozen to your next work meeting...your coworkers will LOVE you for it. more

Great Dougnuts for Great Price 8/9/2005

Longs offers great doghnuts for the Indy area! They are a very well known bakery in the downtown area especially! Everyone knows about long's Bakery. They have the best fresh yeast doughnutas in the world! They are especially good while theya re still warm! I highly suggest you try Longs Bakery! Their service is also great! more

THE very BEST yeast donut in town 8/5/2005

this place has the best yeast donuts in town, it does tend to be very busy in the morning, and if you are picking up donuts for a meeting or work, i'd recommend calling ahead and placing your order for pick up, but once you have a donut from Long's you'll go back time and time again more

Doughnut Heaven 8/4/2005

Long's Bakery has perhaps the best doughnuts I've ever had. At least, their plain glazed doughnut is among the best in that class. Far superior to Krispy Kreme or Duncan Donuts. When you get into some of the doughnuts with toppings or fillings, sometimes you can find better. But for a simple, basic, perfect doughnut, go to Long's. more

Sick of Krispy Kreme 8/3/2005

If you're like me, you want a different type of doughnut every once in awhile. Check out the pastries and everything at Long's Bakery. You will find long johns and even jelly filled donuts here. Not only do they do cakes, you will find exquisite bakery items traditionally made from scratch. Great prices, too. more
