IUP is not just a party school - no matter what anyone tells you. It's a good time certainly, but the academics and culture of IUP are what makes it a great choice. Professor to student ratio is about 17:1 and classes are usually interesting. All state schools have reduced degree requirements to 120 so everyone should graduate in 4 years. On campus residence halls are always available for incoming freshman, and usually anyone else interested. Popular majors include Education, Crim., Family and Consumer Sciences and Psychology.
