We pulled in as we were driving by as it looked liked a fun place to eat and we enjoy Cuban food. At first glance the menu prices were very very high. We ordered the sampler platter for $21 plus cafe con leche & 7 up. I am very easy to please when I go out to eat and always can think of something positive about the food. I have never seen or tasted food like this ever. It had horrible bitter taste that reminded me of the bile taste in your mouth after thowing up and that is no exaggeration, it really tasted bitter and horrible. We tried every item on the plate and every item was indedible. The waitress came over and gave us the check, $36. I left her a $4 tip. I have never gone out to eat and felt confused, then anxious, then embarrassed, then disbelief, then disgust and finally anger at the end of the meal. We were very nice to the staff but when we left we felt cheated by these people. Even the waitress seemed to know how bad the food was and didn't blink an eye when she saw our food still sitting there hardly touched. I have never bothered to go through the trouble of leaving a restaurant review before but I felt an obligation to reach out to any innocent people and warn them about this place. Horrible nasty repulsive food, don't go there. My apologies if the owner reads this, but you cannot serve that kind of food to the public. The only thing good was the coffee.
Pros: No permanent damage to health as far as I know
Cons: The food is incredibly bad

This is a restaurant where the food is filling and very good. Beef dishes especially are tender and juicy. I love to have a Mojito with my food and I have found the service to be very good. Not usually super busy, but tables are filled with many customers dining. On a certain night during the week they have Salsa dancing. I haven't made it up there yet for that, but plan to one of these days. If you are hungry for comfort food that is filling, then this restaurant is a great choice. I never leave hungry and often have to take food home. There bean soup is to die for and alone with bread makes a good meal. I guess you can tell, I really like this restaurant. Thanks. :)
Pros: Close to home, good service, everyone is polite and friendly. Great Mojitos. Comfort food.
Cons: Can't think of any at this time. I've eaten there a lot and have no complaints.

i saw several negative reviews on this place... then i checked it out for myself. and i enjoyed everything about my stay. Server was very friendly and welcoming.. had a lot to say , everything from the football game last week to what makes a great mojito(its the fresh mint and lime juice).
we ordered the garlic shrimp appetizer
i had the halibut in salsa for dinner
my girlfriend had the masas du puerco
all the food was moist and flavorfull..kinda like my grandma used to make
and we shared a flan for dessert
best darn flan ive ever tasted
it was a salsa night..i think they do that from thursday through sunday so the place was pretty crowded...
but we both had a great time
and just a note: i looked into the profiles of some of the people who gave this place a bad score... (NOTICE THAT THE MAJORITY OF THEM ONLY HAVE ONE REVIEW) kinda like someone created a profile here to just whine and moan or try and make their competition look bad:)
personally, despite some negative comments on reviews for this place.. i say check it out for yourself
you will not be dissappointed
and be sure to try the mojitos.... best i've ever had
Pros: excellent drinks... free salsa lessons ... friendly staff... good music... tastey cuban food just like my granny made
Cons: if only i lived a little bit closer :)

food was inedible, prices are high for the slope of food we got. My 1st comment was microwave food taste way better. I ordered the lobster shrimp dish and i got a few tiny chunks of defrosted pieces swimming in old butter. This plate cost $26. I wish I had my camera so I could show you. Ordered the sampler and all the meat tasted like old rubber. I later found a piece of pubic hair in my food. That was it, I had to speak with the manager. He was rude and said he couldn't do anything, that the restaurant has expenses. Save yourself from this hole in the wall, over priced, dirty, rude manager of a place!!!! It was absolutely my worst dining experience ever, and I dine quite often and I'm usually not a harsh critic.
Pros: None
Cons: Grimy place, stupid manager, over priced, BAD FOOD!

Menus are sticky and dirty, went to the bathroom and saw a huge insect on the bathroom floor. Spoke to the manager about it. And he wasn't accommodating at all, he was actually rude! The prices are high for a cuban restaurant. And the food tasted hard and old, like they had made it last week. Only reason why we ate there was because I received a gift certificate for $100 from my mom. When I came to use it, they wouldn't take the full amount $100, they told me they would only validate it for $50! I figure they would be a little more nicer considering my situation. What a rip off, never eating there again! Worst time of my life!
Pros: none
Cons: bad managment

I eat out 3 times a week (at least) and the food they served me was the worst food I've been served in a paid establishment (I would take any of the fast foods places over this).
I love latin foods and I am not one to write reviews but I felt that as this was perhaps one of the least enjoyable meals I've had I should try and save someone else.
The service was fine, the place is cheap and cheerful (though the prices aren't so cheap) but the food was tasteless, bland, deep fried, oily goop.
We had the mixed entry platter - 8 different versions of deep fried dough encrusted mince with a garlic, oil & onion dipping sauce. We also had the lobster and the shrimp. The sauces were bland, the food was overcooked and unseasoned.
The mojitos were made with lemon soda and were too sweet.
I have lost all desire to go to Cuba - just in case this really is what Cubans eat.

I usually don't write reviews but I have to say that I been there 4 times and I have never had bad or slow service. Our last visit was last month for my mom's birthday, we had a large party and the service was good.
My husband and I love the food and its way better than the Cuban restaurant in Orange.
It's a relaxed atmosphere with great music on the weekends.
For dessert, I highly recommend the flan with a sideorder of rum and spill it over the flan...delicious. :-)
Pros: Food, Drinks, Music, friendly staff and waiters.

I have wanted to try cuban food a long time so I was very excited to find a cuban restaurant near where I lived. I decided to take my boyfriend on Wednesay since they have a special on Mojitos on Wednesday. The appearance of the restaurant looked pretty interesting since there was a torch located in front of the restaurant entrance. Looks can be deceiving as they say. Once we walked inside the restaurant, the excitement was gone. The restaurant was dark and cold. I told the host/ waiter that we are here for the Mojitos special. He sat us down at a table then he took our drink order. We ordered the Mojitos of course. 10 minutes later our drink arrived. The drink was average, if you're looking to get drunk this drink would be the one. The mint was not muddled enough and there was sweetness what so ever, just the taste of cheap rum and strong mint flavor. Our meal begin with a basket of cold stale bread. My boyfriend ordered their Surf, Turf, & Sky and I ordered their Masas De Puerco and the Cuban chicken noodle soup. The soup was greasy, the noodle was mushy and tasteless. After 15 mins, Our meal arrived, my pork was greasy and dry. The pork need more seasoning and so does the black beans that came with our meals. My boyfriend liked what he ordered. His portion actually was worth the price but mine was not. After we finished our meal we asked for our check. I told the our waiter that I saw on their website that they are offering 15% for dinner. He replied "you have to print the coupon out in order to receive the discount." I provided the coupon but the coupon is actually for 10% rather 15%. I let the waiter know that on the website it stated 15%. He then replied very defensively, "no, there's no 15% off only 10%." I told him to check out his website because it clearly stated on the website that 15% off is offered for dinner. Rather than taking the customer word he decided to be defensive and give me my receipt and turn away. The experience was disappointing.
Pros: Stiff Drinks
Cons: Customer Services

I was so excited to eat here - the restaurant is so beautiful on the outside and inside. The food, however, reminded me of what I might eat at a nursing home - very bland. No spices or sauces or anything tasty. If this is the best Cuban food in OC, wait until you're outside of OC to try Cuban food.
