I don't think I've been too many places where I have recieved worse service, though I probably just had a bad server since everyone else seems to like the place. I got there with a friend at 1:30, wasn't greeted for ten minutes, took 15 minutes to get the bar drinks once ordered, our order wasn't taken until we'd been sitting there for about 20 minutes. Our appetizer took about 35 minutes-the waiter stopped twice to say the food would be right up but we didn't recieve the food until 2:35 (more than an hour after we sat down), i actually checked my watch i was so annoyed-i had to get it boxed because by that point i was going to be late for work. to make things worse, i found a hair in one of the wings-i told my server and all she said was 'that's not good'... no sorry for either the way late food or the hair, and we still had to pay for the appetizer. i myself am a server at a restaurant and i was disgusted with the service, and i could barely enjoy my friend's company i because i was so worried i was going to be late for work. to be honest, i probably wouldn't return.

All in all, there is a great mix of people in a comfortable, downtown HB environment. You'll totally feel at home among the normal pretty people, rather than feel out of place with the complete sloshes across the street. Longboards is just like a neighborhood bar.
