This restaurant makes me wish I had an Italian grandmother to cook me food. Very friendly wait staff and great prices. Daily specials like all you can eat spaghetti or lasagna for $6 can not be beat. The food is delicious and I always have leftovers, the lasagna is even better the next day.
The Huntington Beach location is very small, so consider calling ahead for takeout.

All you can eat! You can get all you can eat spaghetti or lasagne for what you would pay for a combo meal at a fast food joint. They have gigantic greasy pizza! You can feed 4-6 hungry people with their family special and it costs less than 25 bucks. I highly recommend Pizza D'oro for people who like to eat a lot.
Pros: Cheap and Good!
Cons: Small with no ambience

Great Mom and Pop Italian food restaurant. This place has been in HB forever for a reason. Pizza D serves up huge tasty portions at a great price. They have great specials and Peroni on tap (a must try it if you haven't). It?s hard to recommend a dish because they are all so damn tasty, but try the Baked Lasagna, its all you can eat on Sunday and Monday . It comes with bread and salad. Also located in Fountain Valley and Costa Mesa.
Pros: All you can eat specials and amazing Pizza!
Cons: Sometimes there can be a wait, but definitely worth your time.

When I was 14 one summer, I went to the local 7-11 with about 10 neighborhood kids to do the usual: video games, nachos...you know. The local owner, Moe, was a bit of a doof. We would mess with him as kids do and he would shake his fist at us. Once he asked us to go next door to Pizza D'Oro to get him some lunch. He said, "tell the guy 'Moe wants a pizza'". We went next door, said "Moe wants a pizza", and in 5 minutes we got a box. Instead of going back to Moe, we just ran home with the pizza in hand. At home, we opened the box and were blown away at the size of the giant slice. We fought over cuting it up and we all basically got one bite. But that's all it took. It was like a junkie's first heroin experience. We went straight back there and have been going ever since. I'm 30 now and feel sad thinking about how Moe starved that day back in 1991.
Pros: Calzone for six, Itallian beer on tap, bring your own wine.
Cons: Sometimes understaffed, but life's too short to care if you need a refill this very second.
