My husband and I have been coming to LaCapilla for the past ten years. The food was very good (although everything on the menu is fried in straight lard, so if eating healthy is on your agenda, this isn't the place for you.) Management, however is poor and we have stopped going as well. Not only because they unjustly fired a loyal dedicated employee to benefit themselves and LIED about it, but we also got tired of the public berating of employees by management time after time again right in front of customers, and the rude attitude that they toward their regular customers that have been coming for years. It has become very uncomfortable and yes, the service and quality of the food has also gone down. There are many other good Mexican resturants in the area that are better and that would appreciate their employees and your business as well. Pros: None Cons: Management

The Main Bartender helped put this restaurant on the map because of his professional and personal service. Because of him, my family felt like this was our second home. He always made us feel welcome. Unfortunately the manager, who had the family business handed to him, obviously became intimidated and created false accusations to fire him. We will miss him dearly. The place used to be alot of fun, great drinks, great food, nice wait staff & bartender. The latest manager (now almost three years) started screwing it up from the moment he got there. Prices went up, Quality went down. Just recently he fired the bartender that had been there almost 9 years for something he did not do. Now the food is so so & the drinks aren't any better than the lemonade you can get off a corner lemonade stand. I know a few of the wait staff & they say he is terrible also. My family and friends have gone to La Capilla for over 15 years and after this last week we will not go back. We will find a new place to call a restaurant our 2nd home. Prices have been increasing and the food is not that great. But the services we got from the main bartender was excellent. He always took great care of you so you would pay more for the food and drinks because you knew he was there. But they fired him last week after many years of services and brought in a new guy who is just serving lemonade and trying to pass them off as Margaritas and the service is not the same. The service here is hit or miss. It used to be bad enough that we would bring our own drinks in just to sve time. The shrimp enchiladas are excellent, maybe the best around, and the chips and salsa are good. Make sure you use the coupon, then it is not a bad deal... but no coupon...no go.

I have to say I was a little disappointed with the meal I ordered here and the margaritas were just ok. I was surprised because I've heard rave reviews of this restaurant. Two of us shared chicken tacos and enchilada and they weren't very flavorful. I hope to try it again with better results. The building and ambience were very pleasant so I would like to try it again.

I love this place. The food is awesome and the drinks are better. I have never had to wait more than 5 mins to be seated, even with 5 or more in our group. As for the bar, love it. My girlfriend and I go here with our kids quite frequently, we sit in the booths located in the bar. No one gives us an evil eye when our kids laugh too loud. We enjoy great happy hour prices and a cool drink with no fuss.

I have been a patron and will continue to be even though the new owner's son is the worst bar manager i've ever put my eyes on. Value, value, value. Their happy hour is a GREAT deal! Restaurant Mgr. They post "Happy Hour" in their ad as ending at 6:00 pm. The waiter/waitress inform you too late that it "really" ends at 5:45. They no longer honor their 2 for 1 coupons if you sit in the bar and order happy hour drinks. They really need to post a list of rule changes on the front door. We have been loyal to this restaurant since it opened but after being informed of yet another rule change last night, we are done with La Capilla. It has become the "Unhappy Hour" place to not go.
