Last night was my husband's 1st time there and my 2nd time in 5 yrs and we were somewhat disappointed. The service was slow and it wasn't very busy for a Friday night. When we finally did get food, the order was wrong so then it took even longer to get our food. One of the rolls we ordered was unavailable bcuz they ran out of cucumbers...that's totally unacceptable for a japanese sushi restaurant on a Friday night...aren't the majority of rolls made w cucumbers (come on). Then they dropped off our bill before all our food was served and they charged us for food we ordered but was never served and the waitresses were unaware...but very apologetic. I was appauld that they did not give us some type of concession such as a discount on the bill or another roll, drink or something. Those things are small when knowingly you've provided bad, unprofessional service to a customer. Although the sushi is really good there, I just thought the service was unacceptable and very disappointing.
Pros: Young, hip, club-like atmosphere
Cons: Bad Service

This place is a hit for the 20-30 age crowd. I mean crowd if you plan on going during the weekends. The food is pretty good, it's like Benehana style. They create interesting shapes with their fried rice that make the drunk people laugh. If you are there during the week they will make a volcano for your kids.

This place has great sushi and it's fresh, however, the music can be a little overpowering. If you don't mind not being able to talk to anyone but want to enjoy great sushi, go here.

Daimon Yojimbo is the hottest sushi/teppan/bar you can go to in OC. Where most restaurants feel like just another restaurant, Daimon feels like a house party! A house party with professional sushi and teppan chefs! There's a DJ spinning and comfy couches to chill on. The atmosphere is live and upbeat. The people are friendly and the staff is abosolutely outstanding. The sushi chef are down to drink with you. The teppan chefs can go from PG to R in a split second and the waitors will do anything to make you happy. Monday and Wednesday are happy hour all day! All you can eat sushi!

this was my first experience at Daimon and I have to say that I LOVED IT!! The sushi chefs made me some of the most unique sushi I have ever seen and it tasted better than it looked (which was amazing) the entire time people in Teppan were screaming and I just heard bells from that area all night (if you go you will see what I mean) My experience at Daimon was out of this world I would definatly recomand this place to any sushi eaters and to those who wants to go and have a ball. BTW if you want the chefs to make you better food buy them some beers!!
Pros: Food, Service, very entertaining
Cons: Long wait

This place is amazing! If you love Teppan you'll love Daimon's. It is very small but the food is great and the chef's make it very entertaining. You can buy them drinks and they WILL drink with you. It can be expensive but what Teppan restaurant is'nt? This place is great with either a big group or a first date. Go on Friday or Saturday night. That's when it is the busiest and I think the croud makes it more fun.
Pros: entertaining, the food, the chef's
Cons: expensive

favorite of USC and OC co-eds, Daimon's offers decent sushi and decent prices. The quality of the fish isn't mind blowing, though it isn't entirely insulting either. Really, it's more of a party place than one for sushi lovers. They seem to be really big on bachelorette parties here. The chefs get really into it and make special dishes for the bride-to-be. Think large rice, sushi and vegetable concoctions that are, shall we say, anatomically correct.
Pros: fun atmosphere, good party place, good looking crowd
Cons: valet only, sushi only ok
