Wonderful Japanese Ambiance with Sushi Bar, Dining Room, Tappan Tables and small dark and cozy bar. If you like "old school" restaurants with low lighting and great food and service, this place is for you. If you are looking for something slick and hip - go elsewhere, please. The sushi is always great and is downright cheap compared to other restaurants. They have a wide variety of traditional Japanese fare that never disappoints. Servers are conscientious and prompt. If you want a good table in the dining room on Friday or Saturday night - call for a reservation or you could have a long wait. For those on this site who have left negative reviews I say good riddance to you! More room for me! :) Seriously, this place is great. I have never posted a review in my life - but I just had to defend my beloved MATSU's.

Cons: It is popular and can be hard to get in on date nights

We have eaten in most of the restaurants in Huntington Beach. Tuna Town is by far and away the best restaurant in Huntington. I will go as far as to say probably the best Sushi I have eaten in OC. Love the servers, the bartenders and the cooks. Always consistent, clean and fun. Yes, it is loud but that is because it is filled with such a fun crowd. If you want excellant food and love to people watch this is your place. Also something amazing, the kids steak dinner is as good as it gets. I love the fact that they put as much emphasis on the kids meal as they do the grown-ups. The short ribs melt in your mouth, the steak is so tender you do not need a knife and the rolls are perfect.
Another plus is the restaurant is clean, clean. The owner takes pride in her restaurant and it shows.
Thanks for a great spot so close to home!!!!!! I'd even make the drive if I lived a distance away.
If it was not Monday I would be there tonight.

I have yet to have a bad experience at this place. The owner was really cool to us, reasonalbly priced drinks, great atmosphere. Also a good place to watch the UFC fights! The only con is the line and max capacity of weekend nights.
Best bar in downtown HB!
Pro: Great place!
Con: Parking and crowded

Owner and cheff Mr.Avo is great his stuff is always asking you if you need anythig else.Portion size are pretty big and the taste is so much full fresh organic flavor.My wife had a Chicken a la Avo,I had a braised lamb shank my sister had a vegeterian combo.Price is very reasonable.We will recomend this little greek bistro and we will be back.

My husband and I have been going to Spark for years, it was probably one of the first restaurants we went to when we started dating. Now, it's our favorite go-to restaurant whenever we have friends or family in town. It never fails!
The drinks are incredible - try their Pomtini, it's delicious. For appetizers, I generally go for the crab cake (that's if I don't get caught up with the tapenade!). Their pistaschio crusted halibut has ruined me for fish at other restaurants. I order it every time we go, and it is always unbelievably good. The food at Spark is simple and delicious. Unlike other mediocre restaurants in Studio City, Spark has mastered the art of comfort food with a twist.
Service here is great, we've only had great experiences. No rudeness, just helpful and knowledgeable staff. Be sure to make reservations - this place fills up FAST on weekends. Even if you don't, the valet will inform you as you pull up whether or not the restaurant can accommodate walk-ins.
Pros: Excellent food and service, they also have take-out
Cons: I'd go broke if I ate there everyday!

One of our all time favorite Japanese Restaurants! Wonderful atmosphere and fabulous food. At the top of our list is the sushi, teriyaki beef and teriyaki chicken. It gets very crowded on the weekends, so we prefer mid week. Service is usually good and price is fair to high. We would highly recommend this location.
