Wonderful Japanese Ambiance with Sushi Bar, Dining Room, Tappan Tables and small dark and cozy bar. If you like "old school" restaurants with low lighting and great food and service, this place is for you. If you are looking for something slick and hip - go elsewhere, please. The sushi is always great and is downright cheap compared to other restaurants. They have a wide variety of traditional Japanese fare that never disappoints. Servers are conscientious and prompt. If you want a good table in the dining room on Friday or Saturday night - call for a reservation or you could have a long wait. For those on this site who have left negative reviews I say good riddance to you! More room for me! :) Seriously, this place is great. I have never posted a review in my life - but I just had to defend my beloved MATSU's.

One of our all time favorite Japanese Restaurants! Wonderful atmosphere and fabulous food. At the top of our list is the sushi, teriyaki beef and teriyaki chicken. It gets very crowded on the weekends, so we prefer mid week. Service is usually good and price is fair to high. We would highly recommend this location.

My daughter is vegan and I like to join her when she speaks highly of a restaurant. She bugged me to go to the Bodhi Tree and I went on one Tuesday after the street fair. OMG, let me tell you, what a superb meal! I loved my food, and both daughters enjoyed theirs. The service was good, the staff friendly, the atmosphere relaxing. Definitely will join them for many many more visits!

I eat here at least once a week. LOVE the variety of rolls on the menu and the creativity of the sushi chefs for non-menu items. Nice TV's. Free Sake, yummy. Wait stafff is always pleasant and attentive. Owner is hands on!
I like SOF way better than trendy Tuna Town which is just up the street.
Pros: Fresh Fish

If I go anywhere for sushi in Huntington Beach, it will be here. I stumbled upon this place on accident while trying to find a place open late for sushi. We were headed out to PCH and saw an OPEN sign and gave it a try. I've never been to another sushi place in the area ever since.
The owner is so friendly and personable, the waitstaff is fun, and the sushi is delicious. I had a special request for something not on the menu and they made it! This place is so accommodating and we always have fun there.
Try the Mexican roll, the SUPER HB roll, and Shrimp Popcorn roll.
Pros: Ample Parking, Excellent Service, Open late, TV to catch the game on
Cons: Small restaurant. This place is always poppin'

Daimon Yojimbo is the hottest sushi/teppan/bar you can go to in OC. Where most restaurants feel like just another restaurant, Daimon feels like a house party! A house party with professional sushi and teppan chefs! There's a DJ spinning and comfy couches to chill on. The atmosphere is live and upbeat. The people are friendly and the staff is abosolutely outstanding. The sushi chef are down to drink with you. The teppan chefs can go from PG to R in a split second and the waitors will do anything to make you happy. Monday and Wednesday are happy hour all day! All you can eat sushi!

Totally recommend this place. We let the waitress help us with some of the selections, and she did an outstanding job of selecting things we never would have ordered. Mostly cooked, although some sushi and sashimi dishes. Everything was superb.
We also asked her to recommend a sake - and she was right on.
We had been there when they first opened, and werent' sure if we'd go back, but I'm sure glad we decided to give it a second try. it's one of my favorite restaurants now. Try the pork pot. It's out of this world.
Pricey, but worth it.
