I am always in search of restaurants that have fresh, healthy food on the menu. This place is it. I try to eat here as much as I can. The food may take a little extra time compared to some places, but it is worth it. This is due to the fact that everything is prepared fresh. I highly recommend the fruit salad and Smaug's Delight. But, really, everything is delicious. You always get plenty of food. I order the slim sandwiches. I can't even imagine what the regular ones are like! I usually ask for Anselm when I go. He's awesome, but everyone that works there is. Oh, and it really looks like Middle Earth! Check it out!
Honestly,
Me
Pros: Fresh Food, Friendly Staff, Cool Building, Great Location
Cons: Nothing

I went to Venice Day Spa last month to celebrate my birthday with a couple of friends and everything was great. Since the time I called to book the appointment, they were very helpful in recommending special treatments and explaining what each service is (Unique Touch Massage it's the best!) and even offer 20% off for EVERYBODY since it's a birthday. All the staff was so nice and really cared for us to get the best experience possible. The enviroment it's so peaceful and relaxing. Now we will make it a tradition to celebrate each others birthday at a day at the spa!
Pros: Great environment and staff

I went there for the first time with my company for a corporate party. The spa actually closed the spa for us and we had the place to ourselves, which was great. The covered parking in the garage was a cool touch since it was raining quite a bit.
My company treats us every year to a spa experience and this was the first year we used this spa. It was amazing. The staff were efficient, curious, professional, and superb at their craft. We all lounged in the relaxation areas and I took advantage of the steam room, others loved the dry sauna. There were over 20 of us, but it was the most relaxing day I have had in some time. My massage therapist was incredible; he worked out all of my stress in my shoulders. The esthetician gave me great advice on my skin and my facial made me look years younger. I know others in my group got manicures and pedicures and they love them. I am so glad my company chose them this year and I will not wait for next year to come back.
Pros: Friendly Staff, Easy Parking, Relaxing

Expecting Mexican food, and get Mexican food. This Chuy's location is wonderfully decorated with a loose atmosphere. They offer many famous dishes for a reasonable price. Tortillas, whether wheat or flour, are made everyday, fresh.
I love their fajitas. The beef fajitas along with refried beans and whole wheat tortillas (available upon request) are my favorite item of all time. Spicy, Mex, and Good.

For something different, try tapas. We decided to try Mi Luna for Friday happy hour. Despite good specials ($3 sangrias, margaritas, draft beers, and tasty tapas) it was pretty quiet. Around dinner time, the place began to fill up. The plates range from $5 - $8, and two people can fill up on 3 selections. And I've thoroughly enjoyed each tapas that I tried, especially the fried calamari and morrocan lamb kabobs. Very fresh. I also saw the bartenders serving up "sangria margaritas" which I will be sure to try during my next visit. Service is pleasant. Needless to say, parking around Rice Village is tricky, but I believe Mi Luna offers valet parking to get around this setback. It is clearly a good place to bring a bunch of friends or go for a romantic date since sharing is the idea here.

I've been going to Tony for many years and I always get compliments on both the color and style of my hair. He is more than just a hair stylist; he is a friend. A few years ago I lost everything I had in a flood and was going through a pretty rough financial time. Tony found out about my hardship and insisted I come in to get my hair done and he gave me a full treatment for free. The staff at the salon are all caring people and make your time there fun. Everyone makes you feel like you part of a big "family". It is the best!!!
Pros: Tony is a very talented, creative hairstylist and colorist.
Cons: Can't think of any...

I was born in Austin so it's safe to say I grew up eating at Chuy's. I've tried other Tex-Mex places, but nothing compares to what Chuy's has to offer. The queso is by far the best I've had in my life, and I've been to a lot of places between here and Arizona. My favorite dish is the Elvis Presley Combo. It's a ton of food, but you get an awsome array of their enchiladas with 1 blue corn chicken, 1 beef, and 1 cheese. The Baja Fish Tacos are also amazing with the fried fish, red cabbage, and with a drizzle of the jalapeno cream sauce. Parking at this location can be tricky, but just be patient and it'll happen. I'm pretty sure some of the waiters recognize me and my girlfriend when we go...pretty much once a week. Love this place.
Pros: Atmosphere, Food, QUESO
Cons: Parking (at Westheimer location), prices have risen lately

OK, I really hope that all of the idiots who wrote bad reviews never come back because I love, love, love this place and would like the lines to be shorter. THIS IS NOT A WAITERED RESTAURANT!!! This is a cafe, you order at a counter (counter service) and they deliver your food to wherever your number is (like Whataburger but not disgusting). Don't complain about the service, the ones at the counter are there to make coffee and drinks mostly so taking food orders can slow them down (so can people complaining about food they can't eat because they failed to read a description on the menu). They do amazing things with breakfast and one of my favorite items is the marscapone brushetta. If your high maintenance please go to La Strada for brunch, if you are a normal decent human being then I won't mind waiting behind you in line for good food. PS, I've been going here forever and I've never run into a dog in the building (patio yes, but they have always been well behaved).
Pros: umm, everything edible
Cons: parking
