Many yoga studios in Houston can promise excellent classes, but what really sets YogaOne apart is the quality and friendliness of the instructors. I've taken classes with almost all of them, and I don't have a bad thing to say.
Also, the owners Roger and Albina Rippy are a great team. They make everyone who walks in feel welcome.

My husband and I had heard about hot yoga, and were interested in losing some weight, so we decided to "brave" our first hot yoga class at Yoga One a couple of months ago.
Wow, what an experience! Although it was definitely challenging, the instructors are wonderful about showing modifications of the poses for beginners so everyone can participate. We came out of that class exhausted and soaking wet, but felt like a new person! And we slept like babies that night!
The owners, Albina & Roger, are really nice and obviously love teaching yoga to others. I was surprised and touched that they remembered our names after our first class! The studio itself is clean, modern, and aesthetically pleasing.
We did the 'Power of 10' introductory price, then signed up for more!
We look forward to our Hot Hatha class each week!
Pros: best hot yoga in town!

I'm new to yoga, but I've done yoga at Yoga One (Y1) and at 24 Hour Fitness (24), both in Midtown. I must say that the instructors, environment and diversity (different class types) & quality of the product are all much better at Y1 than at 24. The instructors at Y1 do just that they instruct, helping students tweak postures. I would have expected the dedicated yoga studio to be heavily weighted towards the spiritual side of yoga, but Y1 has just the right amount for me (very little). At Y1, I've had three different instructors. All were good. At 24 one instructor did not lead the students enough to know what the next move was coming, and my other instructor was too much into the spiritual side of yoga. The prices are very reasonable at Y1, especially their introductory offers. If money is tight, but you're serious about yoga, I would suggest supplementing your normal routine with classes from Y1.
Pros: Instructors, options
Cons: None

I was tired of my non-existent trips to the treadmill (bo-ring) and started cruising the net for something active and fun to add to my workout routine.
It must have been destiny because low and behold there it was...A new hot yoga studio opened right around the corner last week! I had never done Hot yoga before but researched (all over the net)and found you can burn 900 calories or MORE in just one class!! Of course, I had to go!
The owners (Albina and Roger) are an amazing team, and the staff is extremely personable and knowledgeable about yoga and nutrition as well.
They really took the time to help me ease into this new experience. I have lost 12 lbs so far and I feel like a new person each time I leave. I could go on and on about how fantastic Yoga One is, but truly, you'll just have to find for yourself!
Pros: Personable Staff,Great Membership Incentives,Lots of Parking, Burns 900 Calories per class!
Cons: none.

Best discovery in 2008: YogaOne Studios and their hot hatha classes! Convenient location, great schedule, bright & clean facility, and experienced instructors. I hadn't practiced yoga in years and was a little anxious about jumping in....but the staff put me at ease very quickly. I've lost 8 difficult-to-lose pounds in my month of classes, and my flexibility has improved dramatically. More importantly, the friends I have shared this discovery with are now regular attendees who are also raving about the studio!
Pros: Abundant parking, convenient location, great schedule

I am relatively new to yoga and I have been using YogaOne's Power of 10 introductory special, which is 10 days for $20. I am a very fit person, but the various classes at YogaOne tore me up, but in a good way. I have had 6 classes with various teachers and each one brings a different style to class. All of the teachers were great and seemed to know a lot and be very helpful and enthusiastic. My favorite is the hot hatha class, but I also really liked the hot power class and the vinyasa flow class. I never knew I would like yoga this much, but now I am going to incorporate it into my daily routine.
