Hi All, We want to express our appreciation for the fine, professional service your company provided to my family in moving my mother from Houston to Canyon Lake. The movers worked from before 9 AM to after 8 PM in loading up two trucks, and yet still arrived for the delivery before 9 AM the next morning. All four men –Dwight, Antonio, Joel, and Mike – were very gracious and helpful throughout both days, and provided great care in the packing and handling of Mom’s household items. After reading many scary reviews of other moving companies, the reviews of A1 Allstate (that were overall excellent) seemed almost too good to be true. We can attest that A1 Allstate is everything you claim on your web page and more. It was a pleasure getting to work with you, and we highly recommend your services. I would not use these guys again. We coordinated with them a long distance move of about 1000 pounds of valuable stuff and we paid for "inside delivery". They subbed it out to a freight company. ... More

I would not use these guys again. We coordinated with them a long distance move of about 1000 pounds of valuable stuff and we paid for "inside delivery". They subbed it out to a freight company. When my stuff arrived it arrived by freight and the truck driver said he wasn't allowed to enter my residence. There were 3 large crates weighing 250-300 pounds and it was raining and I live upstairs. I called the driver's boss and he started threatening me with large fees and non delivery if I wasn't happy with "curbside delivery". Very rude and bullying! I had to bribe the truck driver to even put my stuff inside my garage! Now I realize the rudeness came from the freight company, but we had an agreement with A1 Allstate for "inside delivery" which we thought to mean that they will bring stuff inside my house and put the heavy stuff where I need it to go! And since we contracted with them originally they are responsible! When I called the guy at A1 Allstate he said that "inside delivery" means that it only goes into my garage! WTF!???!!!! NOT what they told us when we set up the order! Now I have had to hire "real" movers on my own dime to come and move the stuff upstairs and unpack those huge crates! This should never have happened like this! Cons: Didn't offer service that we paid for.

I decided to use this company based on all the excellent reviews and the fact that I could get a flat rate for my move. However, I have to agree with the other reviewer that the company must post their own good reviews because I did not have a good experience at all. First of all, they messed up my inventory list. Then the movers complained when I had things to move that weren't on the list, even though I included them when I booked my move. The movers also put a huge ding in a wall in my brand new home. I would stay away from this company!

Seriously, I think this company posts all of these 5's themselves. Nice movers, but they marked up everything! They rush out, have you sign a form to confirm hours and then tell you the next day that you were actually agreeing that there was no damage to your belongings. Therefore, this company offers no complaint process or takes any accountability for damage if not pointed out on the spot of a long day's move. Wow, that's 5 star customer service...

This process would normally have been a routine office move, but there was no electricity and no elevator. The manner in which our move was handled was excellent and all staff were professional, hard working, and dedicated.
