What makes this place great besides their 2 dollar vietnamese pork sandwiches is that they have 5 computer terminals set up to high speed internet connections. This place seems as if it's modeled after some cafes downtown with it's modern furniture and that it doubles as a tapioca bar. The computers help time fly while the food is coming out!

My husband and I have been fans of *17 for several years. Unfortunately, we have not been to dinner there since they had gotten their new Chef earlier this year. We had read lots of great reviews so I decided to take my husband there for his birthday prior to going to a concet in downtown. The restaurant looked amazing as they had changed the furniture in the room around. The large white chairs were quite comfy. The waitress knew we were on a time schedule due to the concert and made sure all 3 courses of our dinner were served in a timely manner. From our appetizer to our dessert, everything tasted incredible. I highly reccommend the Butternut Squash Soup and the Banana Creme Brulee. My husband and I both had two seperate fish dishes which were both flavored to perfection. We will definitely not be waiting so long to return.

In the mood for a bit of real Mexico? Head to 100% Taquitos - it's NOT a Tex-Mex place, and serves real tacos, just like you might get on the beach in Cancun, or on the streets of Guadalajara. There's a good complement of Mexican beers, of which I recommend Corona. Now these tacos absolutely melt in your mouth (don't worry about the calories - the food's just healing here!). The decor is funky, and they're very tolerant of your brats

I have been coming to 100% Taquito since it first opened at this location. It's my favorite restaurant. Try the Tinga Taco, named 2nd best taco in the state in Texas Monthly Magazine. Also, the Tres Leches is fantastic.
If you're in a hurry, it's a good place for pick-up orders.
Pros: Food, Service, Price, Atmosphere
Cons: I wish the Tres Leches was cheaper

The Eleventh St. cafe will never win any awards for handsome decor but their old fashioned cheese burgers with a handmadmade beef patty cooked on an ancient grill and garnished with fresh tomatoes, lettuce, red onion on their toasted bun are the real deal, the way a hamburger is supposed to be made. The best in town, in my opinion. I have them for breakfast!

If you can make the drive... it's a lot of fun. It's unique with outdoor seating. The atmosphere is kind of cold but it fits the style so it's not likely by accident. The wine selection is long as well as the meat/cheeses. Me and my girlfriends had a blast when were here but the drive was a bit of a pain. We'll try it again if we ever make it down there with gas prices the way they are! Does 13 Celsius offer free taxis to outer-loopers? haha..
Pros: Fun and lively, good meats/cheeses
Cons: Too far for outer-loopers

This place is awesome. The food is the best tex mex you can find... but it comes at a cost. The service is normally very good, unless its a friday or saturday night and things are crammed. But that happens. The patio is too hot, so stick indoors. The atmosphere is great and the decorations are suprising when you walk in off the street. Definately valet if its busy, if not, park in the back to save some money. Drinks are good and strong, so beware! Favorite is the beef fajita enchiladas!
Pros: food
Cons: price

This is a great restaurant! My husband and I go here regularly and the food is always excellent. The wait staff is helpful and the margaritas are great. The fajitas have a unique flavor- kind a mix of brisket and fajitas. 1308 also has an extensive menu with more than the typical tex-mex options. The food can be a little pricey. We usually split an appetizer and the medium fajitas, which is plenty of food and pretty affordable. We cannot figure out why this place has so many bad reviews online. I have never written a review, but felt obligated to tell the truth about this great restaurant!
Pros: Great maragritas, extensive menu, friendly staff
Cons: parking can be difficult at times

This is the most relaxed night club I've ever been to. None of the games that the mid-town clubs play (you know, the bouncer with the big ego trying to create a line at the door, no cover charge like crummy suburban clubs, and a good overall crowd.
Don't get me wrong, there is absolutely nothing original, cutting edge, or gimmicky about this place. The drinks are club prices, you see white guys dancing who should not be, the dance floor is tiny, and the music is generic songs that you'd hear a wedding DJ play (you know the obligatory cypress hill and vanilla ice type of rap) but then the girls are pretty, the bartenders are pretty, and you'll have fun. what else do you need? :)
