I LOVE this restaurant!! My family and I ate at Cavatore recently and it cemented the fact that it is my favorite Italian restaurant in Houston. Upon being seated we were given a warm basket of garlic bread. I wish I could tell you how it tasted, but my dad ate it all?. obviously, it was good. We ordered the Caesar Salad, which was made fresh at our table?YUM!!! I highly recommend it! I ordered the Rosemary Chicken and my parents enjoyed the Tournedos Di Manzo. For dessert we somehow saved room for Tiramisu and Cappuccinos--- how could you go wrong there??? All was amazing! What makes Cavatore really shine as an all in all STANDOUT experience is not just the food but the ambiance and the staff. I took my parents to Cavatore because I remembered that they had a live pianist. As always, it was a delight to eat and have the beautiful live music in the background. We were greeted by the host who seated us and went from table to table ensuring that everyone was happy with their experience. He took the time to talk to us about the restaurants history and the d?cor and so it turns out he was actually a Cavatore. It?s few and far between these days to eat at a family owned and operated restaurant. This is a restaurant for me which never disappoints. 5 stars!

First of all, the staff is remarkable. This restaurant is always busy, but I almost always get seated instantaneously. Despite the rush of customers, the food always comes out in a reasonable amount of time. My favorite appetizer is the Calamari, it is fried to perfection and the bowl of delicious homemade marinara sauce in the middle of the plate is awesome. Conan like!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I usually go with whatever special the chef comes up with for the night, it is always delicious. I have tried almost every single dish on the menu, so I like to mix it up by going with the special. Huge portions. Conan also LIKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OK, well got to go eat at Cavatore now, CONAN HUNGRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pros: Spumoni, and great location, THE STAFF!!! Cons: The long voyage of 5 miles from my house to Cavatore's!!!

I happened by the restaurant and ate there before I came here and read others reviews to see what others said about the restaurant. To the person with the multiple 1 star reviews complaining about the piano, get a life. The piano was nice dinner music and has very little to do with the overall dining experience. The complimentary bread baskets were very nice prior to the meal, we tried two appetizers, the stuffed mushrooms which were extremely good and the veal stuffed pasta which was also really good. I ordered the Filet of Beef but changed the marinara pasta for an alfredo pasta because in my opinion, alfredo sauce goes with beef better, but then again i suppose it is a personal preference. The Beef is absolutely wonderful, you can cut it with a fork and it melts in your mouth. The wait staff was very pleasant and very attentive with our drinks. I have been to the restaurant two times now and both visits were wonderful. However, I have only tried the Filet of Beef, but it was so good the first time, it was all I could think about the second time I was there. I hope your experience is as good as mine was. Pros: Try the Filet of Beef, you will not be disapointed Cons: None that I can think of

I have been dining at Cavatore for a few years now. The food is always fresh. I usually order Caesar salad (made table side), and the Crawfish alla Rosa. I sometimes treat myself to their homemade tiramisu, which is delicious! The staff is always very attentive. I find it helpful that the wine menu provides a description of the wines. This way, I can try a new wine without taking too much of a risk. I have noticed that many of you other Cavatore regulars are upset that Michelangelo left. This baffles me to be honest, as I found it quite a relief. He was as staged as his name ---"Michelangelo!" He was loud, obnoxious, and had a glamour shot of himself at the entry. Every time we ate there, he would try to coax my children from their seats (to play maracas at an ITALIAN restaurant), while we were trying to enjoy a family dinner. My husband and I were apprehensive about dining here at times, because of this annoyance. However, the food and service really make the place worth it. I find it a relief to not be bothered now when I go to eat at Cavatore. The pianists they have now provide talent in place of Michelangelo's cheap, clownish performance. I will continue to eat here with my family on a regular basis, as we all love Cavatore! Honestly, Me Pros: Friendly Staff, Great NEW piano music, Fresh Food Cons: NOTHING

I wonder who is the bitter person hiding in anonymity who keeps writing bad reviews and keeps praising the previous pianist using different e-mails and names? The pianists they have now are excelent and add to the operatic atmosphere. Bitter man, please cut it out! Cavatore is a lovely Italian trattoria. Every time I have been there I had a great time. Love the food here especially the Salmon. The atmosphere here is relaxing for when you are trying to have a nice meal anytime, all the workers are very dedicated. I have attended this restaurant 3 times and every time i did they gave me a great service, especially when i have Miss Martha attending me. My cousin loves the Chicken Alfredo and he is very picky when it comes to his favorite dish.
