I worked sales for this company long enough to put thousands of miles on my vehicle running sales leads. He insulates the sales people as much as he can from the customer service issues so they don't know he is a crook. More about that below...
Most importantly, David Hunt (don't think its his real name) is a master at Search Engine Optimization. He gets all of his customers through SEO and pay-per-click (Google, Yahoo, MSN advertising). One week, I got 68 leads from him. They burn through customers like butter.
His pictures are mostly not his work. He steals pictures from brochures, competitive websites and by taking pictures of his competition's work. I know this for a fact. I have spoken with 8 of his largest competitors and they have verified this.
He laughed about putting up false reviews and making sure that he always counter balanced negative online comments about him. Just look at the bogus comments on this page. He joked about the fact that he copied and pasted the same comments on the page so that he could spam the results and push the negative comments to page 2. He preys on people that are less internet savvy than he.
When you hire them, you write your check out to "Paula Martinez". I don't know who she is but her name is the registered owner of his trucks and his bank account. When you contract with his companies, you don't really contract with a corporate entity at all. His companies aren't even registered with the state as a dba so there is no way to sue him. He is completely untouchable. I have tried to find him through conventional means but have had no luck. There is nobody in the state of texas with a driver's license under his name.
I personally witnessed him threatening to "break up the concrete" on 4 occasions. As soon as the customer sees a problem or finds a mistake, he goes ballistic.
I believe he is a rolling felony and I think he always carries a firearm. He is also ex-military so he probably knows how to use it. He drives a black 2008 Ford F-350 dually to help compensate for his short stature. He even refers to himself as a "sawed-off shotgun". Unreal.
Other company names he uses include:
concreteforever.com
concrete-forever.com
concrete-network.com
lchmaterials.com
concretecontractornetwork.blogspot.com/,
http://www.concreteforever-engineered-concrete.com/,
houstonpatios.com,
Affordable Concrete Contractors of Houston,
Affordable Concrete Contractors of Texas,
demolitiononadime.com,
AAA Concrete and the list grows on...
BTW - David Hunt also listed his competitor's address (AAA Affordable Concrete owned by Claude Leeder) underneath David Hunt's listing of Affordable Concrete Contractor's in an effort to disparage his competition.
One last time, this guy is a con artist of the grandest kind. After reading this, if you give him your money, you are a fool and may God help you because nobody else can.

Worst company I have ever dealt with. I don't even want to go into it. Just

We live in Texana Plantation and we had this company come out and install our circular stamped concrete driveway. We paid just over $25K and believe it or not Concrete Forever was the middle bid. We went with them because of the quality of work they have on the website but more importantly was the stamped concrete driveway specifications, impressive to say the least. As I am an engineer with Fluor Daniels Construction it takes a lot to impress me. Long story short the installation took about 2 weeks and went pretty smooth. They left a bit of a mess but I guess it's typical for any concrete contractor. Our driveway was featured in Houston House and Home magazine last year and it's obvious why, it is the most unique and elegant driveway I've ever seen (if a driveway can actually be called elegant)

Concrete Forever replaced our concrete driveway with a stamped concrete driveway nicely done in a European cobblestone fanstone design. They did leave a few stakes in the ground when they were done and the concrete wasn't as glossy as my wife had hoped for so I called the company and told them my concerns and to my surprise they came out the next day and pulled out the stakes and re polished my entire driveway to a ultra high gloss. It's been about a year since they did the installation and it still looks like it was just done yesterday. Great company to work with!Jay Harris

My Husband and I have been planning to have a patio installed in our backyard for more than a year.As I gathered bids from other companies I began to wonder if we were ever going to find a reputable company to install our patio project! Everyone that came out was either late, shady looking or like the last company had a picture book full of fuzzy pictures that were obvious copies of what appeared to be out of a magazine. Finally, in January we found Concrete Forever through some friends of mine at work and we were very impressed with their website and the endless pages of information and the crystal clear digital photos of their custom stamped concrete on their website. We were impressed enough to hire them on the spot. They came out the following week and installed everything in three days and it just came out beautiful! It's bigger than we agreed upon also and they even replaced some of the grass that got damaged in the process. We appreciate their attention to detail and our neighbors do too! (they had a driveway installed by Concrete Forever too)Thanks Affordable Contractors for a job well done!

This company did a $24,000 patio job for us that is worth every penny. We had our custom patio and arbor designed by a professional designer but when David came out from Concrete Forever .com he competely redesigned eveything right in front of our eyes at our kitchen table and gave us an amazing stamped concrete patio design, with a lighted cobble stone firepit and an adorable pavillion, Our fountain we bought was handsomely placed in the center of lighted cobblestone circle he placed in the center of our european slate patio. David built and designed an impressive arrow head topped rod iron railing he installed around a portion of our firepit we give this company a 5 star rating. Thank you for an outstanding job

We had several bids from other concrete contractors in Houston and Concrete Forever was the company we finally chose because they seemed the most qualified and the project estimator was very professional.
We are thrilled with the outstanding job they did for us. The Salesman was very friendly and has a knack for design. The job was completed in a reasonable time frame and the superintendent was attentive to every detail. Our neighbors have already called and made an appointment for ya'll to do their concrete driveway!.

My wife and I recently purchased a home in The Heights and we wanted to add a custom patio and a patio cover. We contacted several companies and it seemed that no one had a viable solution until we talked to Affordable Concrete Contractors(www.concreteforever.com)and we were impressed with their design suggestions as well as a viable solution for the complex patio roof. The stamped concrete patio came out great and they even came back about a month later and resealed the patio due to some blemishes in the previous sealer. Very forthright and upstanding company! G. We had a stamped concrete driveway with a nominal slab thickness of 6" to 8", dual
reinforcement, stained, colored, integral molecular fiber reinforcement, molding,
engraving, concrete demolition and site excavation, patterned, texturing and
epoxy resin sealing usually costs between $8.00 to 12.00 per sq ft for a turn key installation.
The structural integrity of a Decorative slate Stamped Concrete Patio in Houston
installed versus a natural slate installation is generally about 110% greater than
it's natural stone counterpart.
By nature stone, slate and other natural materials have relative low strength
properties and are unable to sustain under loads. So a Decorative ECC Stamped
Concrete Patio or Stamped Concrete Driveway is a viable, smart alternative to
installing natural stone or slate versus a structurally engineered concrete
composite Patio or Drive way.
Houston Patios used to be just a plain concrete slab with a broom finish or if the builder got fancy an exposed aggregate (pebble) finish.
Now, if you stroll through many of the upscale residential neighborhoods you'll
see that Patios in Houston have taken on a whole new meaning as the classy and elegent stamped concrete patios embrace not only feng shui design but also integrating colors,
stamped slate, stamped stone and cast in place decorative concrete benches that add splendor to any Houston residence.
Houston Patio Builder and supervisor at ConcreteForever.com, Ricky Gueterrez says,
"Homeowners are embracing our hi-tech Patios and Houston is beginning to get
thirsty for the "I want That" fever that is catching on all over Houston Texas.
Utilizing the latest in Engineered Concrete Composites that offer a decorative concrete patio that looks like stone, slate and even wood but has the structural flexibility that has been intergrated in concrete bridges and overpasses for years.
"Our extensive commercial background has given us an opportunity to utilize the
best technology available today into Houstons Residential market offering
superior houston patio installations that you couldn't get five years ago", says Miguel Fajardo Gonzales, Supervisor for ConcreteForever.com

My husband and I had a patio built for our home. The concrete looked great, the problem is they made an error with the color and it has been a nightmare trying to get fixed. They keep promising us they will show up and never do, obviously our job isn't big enough for them to be concerned with. Only the big jobs get all the attention. Obviously and I quote "they have so much business". I am very disappointed with the service I have received. We have made several attempts to have the problem corrected with no satisfactory results. They don't keep promises they make. We have waited 3 days in a row for them to show up and they didn't - wouldn't even call us back to let us know they weren't going to make it. I have grown up with construction all my life and I understand weather conditions, but I also understand basic customer service. Which they don't have. Jay will promise you customer service but never deliver. I should have trusted my gut and not paid them until I saw the finished product to my satisfaction. All Jay was concerned about is getting the check, and not making sure the job was finished correctly. If he paid as much attention to completing the job as he did collecting the money I would be happy and we would have a result that is satisfactory. So anyone considering hiring them, I would advise against it and go somewhere else!!

Now that our new home is complete and our six figure custom concrete project is finished we are thrilled we chose concrete forever in Houston for their extreme concrete professionalism. We are impressed with their new capabilities of digital technology and adjusted manufacturing procedures, what is of interest here is not the random manufacture of form, nor the inspiration derived from form in nature for its own sake, but rather the lessons from nature where form intersects with function, where the overlap creates the harmony, the underlying elegance and efficiency that prevails, just as we see occurring in nature. Apart from the aesthetic merits of this coincidence, the economic benefits manifest in this harmony are apparent, as the drive
towards integrating form and function constructionally, operates within
a framework of overlap. How often do we see structures that are deemed
to be economic, yet are visually obtrusive? Structures that attempt to
express elegance without a clear hierarchy, which result in expensive
pastiche? Buildings that are purist in form but are functionally limited and expensive?
Concrete Forever has hand and machine-made concrete molds that define structural hierarchy as the arrangement of structure (both man made and in nature) that most
efficiently evolved as a response to the loading configuration to which
it is subjected. The coincidence of optimal load transfer between
associated elements and the forms that have evolved as a response to
the many complex environmental conditions are a living demonstration of the visual harmony that exists between form and function.
Concrete forever has done an outstanding job for us as evident in their workmanship they have forever left behind

I am Holly H. from the earlier review on this page. I take great exception to David Hunt's comments in his defense of his company! I have no idea who Molly or Brad or Amanda, et al, are or anything about them other than they are dissatisfied with their dealings with Concrete Forever. What I DO KNOW is this: My husband and I are NOT "Strange Folks" or "Devil Worshipers!" We are most assuredly not swindlers or deadbeats! We are upstanding citizens of Northwest Harris County with excellent references, and just because I have a complaint with Concrete Forever does not make me a irreputable person! Our "crime" seems to be that we did business with what was presented to us as a reputable company called Concrete Forever. The product we purchased, a patio, was installed in November 2005 and we were initially happy with the results. So much so that we payed our invoice in full, as per our contract. We were not particularly impressed with the skill of the workers, but the job was done fairly well because either my husband or I were there at all times to supervise the work. David Hunt came out for about 10 minutes on the day of the pour because my husband had told the job foreman that we had some issues with a fence gate that was to be installed in the newly poured concrete. The workers had damaged the gate in removing it from our existing slab, which we were upset about, and we believe David came out because he was afraid we would not pay if any further damage occurred or if the installation was done incorrectly. Several times, my husband had to "help" the workers get the job done correctly since they did not seem to be well trained and David didn't hang around long enough to ensure proper installation! We were also very disappointed that a company representative did not schedule any sort of final inspection of the project. We felt uncomfortalbe handing our final payment to one of the workers, and, in retrospect, we should not have. Within two months, the color began to come off of the patio and we contacted Concrete Forever to come out and remedy the situation. We were told we needed a "heavier duty" sealant for a $600 application fee. When we purchased our patio, we were told we had gotten the best sealant available and it would last several years. We scheduled four appointments for someone from Concrete Forever to come out and look at the problem and make repairs in which no one showed up. Repeated phone calls went unanswered, or we were lied to on the phone. During one of those calls, I was also verbally abused by David Hunt. To mitigate further damage to our patio, we have called another company (one with excellent BBB ratings and business ethics) in town to restain and reseal our patio. Their representatives told us, from what they saw, the color and sealant we had received was of inferior quality and workmanship. They are now in the process of doing work to correct Concrete Forever's mistakes. We want nothing more to do with David Hunt or his company and are grossly disappointed with his business practices. This is the first time my husband and I, in 25 years of marriage, have ever had to file any sort of formal complaint against a company. We have realized how important it is to check and double-check a company's references and BBB standing before ever signing a contract, and not be lured by a slick website. I stand by my earlier comments in Judy's Book: this company should not be in business. There are other reputable ones to choose from. I urge everyone to choose them over Concrete Forever.

I do not understand how these people are still in business. Take a look at www.concreteforeversux.com to see the real story with pictures of multiple jobs by David Hunt and Concreteforever. You can also find many complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau, none of which have been responded to. If you like substandard work, being cussed at, lied to, and harassed, then you will love this company. Perhaps David should consider some ethics and anger management classes.

We hired concreteforever.com to build a stamped and stained patio in our backyard. The results were terrible. They never showed when they were suppose to and they never returned phone calls after they got our first check. I was yelled at and cussed at by the owner David Hunt. The patio is now starting to crack. The owner said we need to pay more money to get it fixed. We are suppose to have a 5 year warranty! I did a lot of checking into the owner and he is a complete crook. The salesman actually presented us with a document that said they had no complaints and even went as far to say they were members. Both are complete lies! When we made the decision that no amount of money would ever convince us to have these people back to our house, we had 3 companies come out and give us an estimate on how much it would cost to fix the patio. All 3 said the patio would need to be broken out and they would have to start over from scratch. Please do not use this company!!!! By the way, David Hunt is now doing business under the following two websites: www.houstonpatios.com and www.demolitiononadime.com. Please protect yourself and checkout the BBB report. You can look up the
business under Concrete Forever (Houston, TX) or Affordable Concrete Contractors of Houston. Also, checkout the www.concreteforeversux.com website. The pictures and David's response to emails says it all!

I wish I saw your blog about concrete forever before I hired them. But they are the worst company I have ever dealt with. They are rude and flat out nasty. I was yelled at and cussed at by the owner, David. The owner even threaten to leave the job half done. I have created my own website loaded with a lot of pictures and me rambling on and on about issues. I sure hope someone will read this before they hire them and I sure hope this will stop them from doing so!.

We had a backyard patio installed in November 2005 by Concrete Forever. It was installed in a timely fashion according to our contract, and came in on budget. We thought it was strange that after the project was completed, no one came out to do a final inspection. We have had trouble with the color and sealant coming off almost immediately and have not been able to get anyone to come out and fix the problem. The one time we did get the owner on the phone, he said he would "special order" a super duty sealant for us (gee, that's what we were told we had bought in the first place) and that it would cost us $600 to have it put on!!! Forget that! What about the "5 Year Warranty" we supposedly have???Repeated phone calls for the past several months and promises of quick action have not happened and we are extremely disappointed. Do NOT do business with this company! Check with the BBB--evidently we are not alone in our complaints! Notice also there is no address listed on their website, nor is there one on our contract/warranty!
