Posted by: Richard Lozier, Katy Tx 8 May 2005 1:39 We had several bids from other concrete contractors in Houston and Concrete Forever was the company we finally chose because they seemed the most qualified and the project estimator was very professional. We are thrilled with the outstanding job they did for us. The Salesman was very friendly and has a knack for design. The job was completed in a reasonable time frame and the superintendent was attentive to every detail. Our neighbors have already called and made an appointment for ya'll to do their concrete driveway!. We contacted several companies and it seemed that no one had a viable solution until we talked to Affordable Concrete Contractors(www.concreteforever.com)and we were impressed with their design suggestions as well as a viable solution for the complex patio roof. The stamped concrete patio came out great and they even came back about a month later and resealed the patio due to some blemishes in the previous sealer. Very forthright and upstanding company! G. We went with them because of the quality of work they have on the website but more importantly was the stamped concrete driveway specifications, impressive to say the least. As I am an engineer with Fluor Daniels Construction it takes a lot to impress me. Long story short the installation took about 2 weeks and went pretty smooth. They left a bit of a mess but I guess it's typical for any concrete contractor. These guys are untouchable. You can't find them. They aren't a DBA, LLC, LLP or an INC. How can they expose themselves to such liability? Because they are not sue-able. You can't serve them. You can't even prosecute them because there is nobody to name in the suit! The only recourse you have in finding them is to take pictures of their license plates on the work truck. 2 years ago, it was the same name as the person you wrote your payment checks to. I can't remember the name but the last name was Martinez. He told me that it was a "mexican company that had permission to work in the US"....LOL! Why would a very successful concrete company require that you write your checks out to an individual??? This is why they so eager to tear up your concrete work, if you withhold payment while waiting on them to repair their bad work; because he is scared to prosecute you for non-payment. If he did, he would have to name himself in his suit against you. It is the ultimate game in allowing him to use unskilled labor and get away with it.

Our company did a few jobs for concrete forever. Yes concrete forever is a good name because he will take forever to finish the work and forever to pay you!!!!!! He is a con artist!!!!! He has a sidekick that goes by the "martin" acts like he is so sorry for what "david" did and is on his own now. Don't trust him.... His company is called designs by martin or euro construction or really any name he wants just be careful never give a down payment unless you know the company....

Check out Affordable Concrete.com. Same people. Our 2-day patio took 2 months to complete because we were stood up on at least 5 appointments. Workers are unskilled. You can see where they messed up on the stamping. Thickness of concrete is not 5 inches, per contract. It's less. Color is blotchy and sealant is obviously the cheap stuff. No project manager was ever on site. Don't count on anyone returning your calls once they've gotten your first payment. Please take your business elsewhere.
