To the author of this horrific injustice,
How unfair of you to make such comments about a business of which you have no current knowledge. You claim that you worked for the Pampered Pet Inn in the early 1980’s. This is not the same business that it was back in then. This particular Pampered Pet Inn has been through two other business owners since Selma Leiber and definitely operates with a higher standard than what you described. Your grievance is not with this Pampered Pet Inn and any guilt you feel towards any cruelty that may have happened 30 years ago is not my fault. How dare you make these remarks towards me and my business.
We have absolutely no ties to whatever kennel you are talking about that was located on Braeswood. This establishment may have been affiliated with it in the past, but is no longer. I am also pretty sure that the business of which you are referring to has been closed for the past 15 years at least.
We, at the Pampered Pet Inn strive to maintain an adequate amount of staff members for the amount of animals that we care for so that we can provide a safe and comfortable stay for our guests.
I am in total disbelief that someone would post such comments 30 years later without checking their facts.

My husband and I have eaten at Bistro Vino several times over the last few years. The food is to die for (very fresh), and the romantic setting can not be beat. I love the salmon and beef Wellington. The service has always been friendly and knowledgable. The bartender is very enjoyable. The outside patio with the twinkling lights is our favorite spot. Can definitely recommend this one!
Pros: Fresh Good Food, Fabulous for romantic dinners, outdoor dining under twinkling lights and lush landscape
Cons: Can not think of any!

This is where I'm watching the playoffs all the rest of the year and where I'll be for the World Cup in 2010 - since I can't be in South Africa. Always a great crowd for watching football - everyone is a good sport whether their team wins or loses. And of course nothing's better than a pint of Guinness during the match! Good craic!
Pros: Great atmosphere for sports
Cons: Not enough parking for big events

We visited there on a Friday and it took a long time to get a table for 2 adults and a kid. But the margaritas kept us happy and once we got seated our service was geat and the food was excellent.
I recommend reservations on Friday nights

Let's face it, Ikea is really geared more towards apartment dwellers than those who pay mortgage. Their smaller-scale furniture at rock-bottom prices work well for people just starting out.
Their Houston store is Texas-sized and holds an impressive array of basic furniture as well as pretty much every home decor/accessory you can [or the Swedish mind] can think of. On top of that, their cafe is also pretty impressive - good food at Ikea prices, it's really a one-stop shop.
A caveat: obviously, because of their low prices, their quality is not always the best. Every now and then you end up with missing pieces or scratched furniture - but then, that's small trade-off for being able to furnish your whole bedroom for the price of one nightstand at West Elm...

Recently we had the opportunity to build our home using very green technologies and methods. The R-value of the exterior walls is 50 - 55, and we also used a spray foam product to insulate and completely seal the roof deck and under the first floor (House is in the flood zone, so it is raised). House Pro was able to design and install a highly-efficient system to complement what we were trying to accomplish. Through the unusual challenges our home presented, House Pro demonstrated that they truly are masters of their craft. The house is very quiet, comfortable and has even temperatures across the three zones. My utility bills are now less than half of what they were before. Their service is efficient, the technicians polite and knowledgeable. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone in need of a first-class HVAC company.

I visited the Richmond location recently to have a surprise birthday brunch for my mother's 50th birthday. Gracie was our server and I could not have asked for better service. She came out and greeted us to tell us the table was ready. She, alone, waited on 9 of us. She was very accommodating and honored my requests. I paid for food and non-alcoholic beverages. I was very worried about how separate drink tabs would work, but she handled it perfectly. They allowed me to take my own cake in and held it in their kitchen. When it came time to sing happy birthday she set a chocolate plaque and candle on the cake as well as served it. Thank you Gracie. You made my mother's brunch a worry-free fun time!!! By the way everyone loved the buffet brunch. We all had seconds.
Pros: The excellent service
Cons: So many people like it so it can get a bit crowded
