Beautique is ok, but the best thing about them used to be Zoey, who gives the best waxes, especially bikini. Unfortunately, she's not there anymore and has moved to Beauty First in the Rice Village. More >

A good friend of mine told me about this place, he recommended it due to the good quality, good care and treatment. And now i been going there for this past year. My personal Hairstylist Diano, is always on point when he gives me haircuts and always gives me good advice on what would look good on me, he's pretty much the reason why i been going back. The people are real nice and they interact with you and won't let you leave until they kno you're satisfied with their job. I really like this place and will for sure keep going back.

I had one of the best haircuts I ever had done by a European man some years ago, but, other than that, my attitude is "eh, no biggie" about the Beautique. I think the salon workers there think they are more talented than they really are. It's ok, but I've had better; and, I had different stylists at the Beautique do me for a few years there.
Not going back, by the way.

Most of us who enjoy massages regularly are hesitant to try someone new when you found that one masseuse that hits all the rights spots, with the right pressure, and the many other factors that keep you coming back. When I am in a new city I am definetely hesitatnt to waste money on a 'less than' massage; so often while traveling I go without.
In May I was completing a triatholon here in the Houston area, and had a back spasm the day before the event so I had no choice but to find a masseuse that could work some magic. I said a little pray and hoped for the best. Beautique set me up with Irma, and she helped reduce the spasm enough to complete the race...that and a lot of epsom salt, vinegar wraps and ice and heat, but the massage def helped... no doubt!!! Her technique is not a whimpy massage...she works around the infammation to relax the muscles around the painful area thus the rest of your back/areas follow in the spasm. Irma has the gift of massage, sure she was taught but she has a lot of natural intuition that you can't buy.
Pros: serene enviroment, complimentary beverages, shower room
Cons: parking

I have been going to Mary Tran for over a decade for waxing as she is the best, hands down, and I have very tricky eyebrows. I recently decided to get a facial with her and realized what i have been missing all these years! It was incredible - best i've ever had! Her fingers are strong yet gentle and she turned my dull skin into glowing. I can't wait to go back to her for another one. on top of all her talent, she is just one of the sweetest people ever. A pleasure to work with. Go see Mary Tran! You won't regret it!
Pros: Excellent skill & service

I went to Beautique to celebrate my 30th b-day with my sister, 2 nieces(13 & 11yrs), and best friend. It was a first for us all to go to a spa, and a bad experience. We started our day with a massage. The masseuse took her time to explain/suggest which massage I should get for my first time. All of the women were very content and relaxed with each of our masseuse.
The next service we were all getting were pedicures. The women would get a spa-1hr pedicure and the girls would each get a 30-min mani and a 30-min pedi. When I scheduled the appts, I had requested for the girls to get a mani first, so then can finish with a pedi together with the women. I made the request at the time when the appts were scheduled, when we first arrived, when we finished with the massage, when we were taken to the pedi room, when we were sat down, and one more time before the girls were sent to another room. Each time, I was told that the girls will get their manis in the same room as our pedis. WRONG ! ! ! They wanted to keep one girl with us and send the other by herself downstairs. The employee told me that she is on a schedule and can not waste any time, and will continue the mani upstairs. We talked to another employee and finally the girls were both sent downstairs to get their manis. REALLY !?! !? Then we group back together, and the the girls only received one coat of polish and their nails were not painted evenly. WTF !? !?! ? So we paid $12.50 to only have their nails polished incomplete ? !? !?! ?
I paid $50 for the "spa" pedi . . . it's just a regular pedicure. I get a real "spa" pedi at the nail shop I visit regularly and pay half. then to only get home and see that the polish is not smooth, my nails were rough where they were trimmed and my feet were still rough. We did not receive a massage on our feet or calves, just different kinds of treatments were rubbed on our feet, which did nothing. No primer was used prior to using colored polish and I had to find my own machine to place my feet under to wait and dry.
Then we also noticed that only certain customers were being offered soft drinks and received more attention. I guess their hospitality is not extended to ALL guests. A party of four 7yr olds were jumping all over the place and the staff was more attentive to them.
Would I recommend this spa to the next person?? Yeah, I don't think so.
Pros: convenient location
Cons: not very zen . . .

I went to Beautique to get a cut and color. After a discussion with the stylist, my one request was to not make my hair look like a carrot (I wanted a brownish auburn). While lying back in the chair to have my hair rinsed after the color had processed, I hear the stylist say "oh s%!t" and then run to the back. I got up and looked in the mirror to see that my hair was a bright orange. After many tears on my part, and several hours with another stylist to correct the color and having to cut more length off of my hair than I wanted due to the damage, they didn't even offer to discount my charges for this trip. Haven't been back since, have told everyone I know this story and would definitely not recommend this place to anyone.
Pros: Good Location
Cons: Terrible Service; Chaotic atmosphere
